Hello! Wanted to ask about this, could I make a Biotech compatible version of this mod? I ask for permission before doing anything. I know the current continued version is compatible with the newest current patch, but not expanded to work with Biotech xenotypes.

The thrumkin are "missing body parts" any time that I try to force them to wear boots from the Vanilla Armor Expanded mod.

heyhey chalis, any chance that you make Ghost Ash prettier than Iron Wood (from VGP Vegetable Garden)?
iron wood grows faster, looks uglier, but has 4 beauty. actually i think iron wood should have 2 and ghost ash 4, but both ain't much, wouldn't harm if you set the beauty to 5 as it takes several years to grow large amounts. iron wood is simply spawned en massé by dryads.
btw that'd be a nice enhancement; thrumkins bound to a gauralantree being able to have ghost ash dryads!
anyways, this beauty-facter boggers me since about 3 years...i wanna build my pretty wood stuff & floor in that pretty bright ghost ash color, not darker than uranium >.<

so yea, i´m not getting any thrumkin settlements with normal world gen, only dev quicktest generates a thrumkin settlement on worldmap. Sadge

yeah is kind of weird when a trumkin gives birth to two full grown adults but from what i can see if there was just a baby life stage and child life stage it might work perfectly fine with biotech it only ever gave me one error and that was when they gave birth. i was able to implant the i'm just going to say vampire traits to one of the trumkin it hasn't given me any errors. by the way i play with CE to say they cut off heads so efficiently is an understatement.

I don't think any of the HAR races are compatible with biotech right now unless they can somehow limit pawns from har races to being baseline without any genetic editing. You can use them, but frequently pink square texture pawns will show up with random biotech tails or horns jutting out of odd places that crash things like character menu.

ya this mod just dont spawn pawns if you use the base liner for them and i suspect the mods on lifesupport ;_; are all the race mods at lest make them biotech combatable sense

@atomic0726 it's compatible in the sense that it's not incompatible (won't crash if playing with both), but it doesn't use biotech mechanics, no.
Btw, if someone makes an unnoficial Biotech implementation please @ me, thx.

Depends if I find time and motivation for it. I'm kinda done modding for RW. I updated most of my mods only because I felt like it, update just came out and it wasn't too much effort for those. But due to the nature of my race mods and the excessive custom code it usually is a lot more work.

Thats normal - if a pawn doesn't have the appropiate body-part it bugs out and they can wear infinite of that item. I patched it so that doesn't happen with items that they cant wear (same with pants for naga) - however, the wearing clothes on artificial parts mod probably overwrites my patch and makes it possible again, re-enabling the vanilla behavior.

Very weird and specific bug. If a Thrumkin gains 1 or more feet or changed legs via bionic legs, bionic feet or a non foot replacing muscle stimulator to their leg which changes the foot to not be a hoof (black magic evil magic) then if you further allow footwear to work with bionics rather than counting as a missing part via a mod like prosthetic allow footwear. Thrumkin will try to infinitely wear footwear up to their carry capacity and a single pawn can end up having 50 boots and shoes on at the same time.

Seems if you have the Graphics Settings+ mod, you have to go into the Mod Options from the Pause Menu and enable Custom Atlas then click on Apply. No more pixel-blurry Thrumbokin!

I'm not sure what is causing it but this is the only race mod that is being reduced to SNES sprite pixelation. They appear fine on the character editor, but in world they are reduced to blurry pixels to what you see above. Even the clothing they wear ends up pixelated. Something is definitely downscaling the whole race and I don't know what?

Would anyone know how to fix the tiny thrumkin problem? I've turned off texture compression but it still occurs and I'd really like to know how to fix this

Ensure you have Custom Pawn Atlas turned on and at maximum, you probably have a graphics mod doing that

It has to be a different issue. In pawn selection they look fine but in-game they look like a Youtube video suddenly went down to 144p, definitely much lower quality than anything on Rimworld should be even before the update or any upscaling mods, and lower quality than the screenshots for sure. From scrolling through the comments it looks like I'm not the only one having the issue either.

I also don't have this issue with your Naga race, they're normal resolutions for me.

They are average resolution. RW updated some textures to be more detailed and higher res + there is plenty of ai upscaled mods out there and camera+ which can contribute to making it look worse. Otherwise you might have a different issue.

For some reason the Thrumkin are extremely low-resolution. Pixelated as all hell. Is there a fix for this?

having a bit of a resolution problem with my thrumkins. they are very pixilated

Frostleaves aren't growing for me, they are planted but say non ideal temp. It says that the plant will grow in 0-58c, my guess is that they don't grow at those temps and the desc is glitched, but I am not certain. So does anyone know for sure?
