Was testing this out and one of the big turrets missed a stationary target for 5 minutes straight lmao wouldnt recommend this

yes, using ModAdjuster or the WC server/world config files is the correct way to make rebalance changes to my mods. with those tools there is no need to reuploads. to change weapon ranges and projectile speeds you will need to do that in the WC server/world configs instead of ModAdjuster as those values are in the configuration scripts not the sbc files. you can find information on this in the WC wiki.

you cant directly control in the vanilla fashion some of the turrets in NW, if you want manual control you have to use the weapon core version of it and that is generally done in 3rd person or with a camera. you would need to check the weaponcore wiki for how that works. for the 500mm you need to make sure you are loading the right ammo for it, you can change the ammo with the ammo selection hot key, it has 3 options. it also needs 30mm standard ammo to feed the AA guns on the roof of the turret, its a multi turret. no idea why the 250mm railgun wouldnt load if you have the right ammo for it as it only has one ammo option.

So, how does one control/aim the 500mm Gun Turret and the 250mm Rail Gun? Also, both have their respective Ammo in their inventory, but it doesnt seem to register for them, and i cant force reload them. Also can put 30mm Standard ammo in the 500mm

AP ammo cant be shot down. this is the intended tradeoff. the Howitzer has crazy range, if you couldnt defend against them they would be broken OP. if the PD of your target is too strong you can use AP instead but because it has little AOE damage it wont be as effective for attacking bases. the reason AP cant be shot down is it dosnt make sense for something that is effectively solid steel to be practical too shoot down I just figure the radar on the PD weapons is "smart" enough to know not to try (really its to keep people from using them to saturate PD weapons as an exploit)

Be awesome if we could ever get an update with the 203mm Howitzers using non-targetable ammo, because they can never get through the CIWS

It's not just the railguns, but the 203mm, 30mm, etc. All the large turrets are having this problem for me

Sometimes the railgun works sometimes it doesn't. Sometime a restart fixes it, sometimes it doesn't.

I'm having a problem where the guns just don't work? Like they shoot once and then they stop completely. But then when an enemy gets extremely close they open fire again? And locking target only makes the turrets shoot once also. I'm extremely confused as I had somehow fixed this when making an Ai mod but it broke again. Any info on this?

May I suggest a quad barrel that fits a 5x5x5 (maybe 180mm) as a have a few french themed ships and they are missing a buck toothed turret. Great job regardless, have a good one.

It's just that the newer mods i've started using doesn't use WC. Don't get me wrong, i DO love your work, but i've started using it less and less because of how much WC forces me to pick one or another.

you might be using the wrong ammo for the 30mms. the ones ontop of the 500mm can only take the standard ammo, not the DU or CRAM. otherwise it should just pull the standard ammo like normal.

Love your mods btw and the AMS disco ball is in every base I make. As for the 500mm turret for the base I can not get the two 30 mike mikes to load. I was wondering what I am missing and probably the head space and timing of this operator. lol

if you want to be more conservative with your 30mm ammo then its better to use the smaller 30mm autocannon turret instead. its more accurate but has a much lower ROF. its still very good at shooting down missiles and tends to waste less ammo doing it. if you wanted to change how many shots are in the mag you would have to make a ModAdjuster based mod to edit the ammo sbc at run time. I dont know how to do that.

Is there a way to increase the magazine capacity of the 30mm c-ram? It eats up ammo in no time, I know it's a c-ram but i would like it not to be so expensive to use.

you need a script and LCD to show you rotor/hinge angle, there might also be scripts now that do more then that. I always just used a hinge angle script and a range chart I made.

its guided/smart ammo. its still a cannon shell not a missile so its guidance isnt super good but it should be better at hitting faster more manuverable ships. trade of is it has less explosive power then the standard HE shell

its a nuke being set off in the barrel of your gun. there is no avoiding the EMP. that is the balancing cost of it. its ment to be an ammo you only use when you have little choice. you only loose power for a few secs but it will reset your shields and that is the point, the cost of going threw someone elses shields with a very high power weapon is yours go down as well. means the ideal time to use it is if your fairly sure you can get a kill shot with it in a one on one fight. I think it has a 500m radius.

the 30mm sub turrets on the 500mm turret, uses the Standard 30mm ammo. It cant use the specialty ammo like DU or CRAM because there was no easy way to support ammo switching on the sub turrets. it should be in the consumables tab like all the other NW ammo and vanilla ammo.
