I love everything about this mod, except the right-hand thumb is so awkward and broken. I'm guessing a fix won't be forthcoming, but man, would it be welcome.

the script is for reload sounds, i think everyone knows the magnum has it's own separate firing sound.

I'm pretty sure Desert Eagle got its own sound in an older update. You can just swap "sound\weapons\magnum\gunfire\magnum_shoot.wav" without a need for the script edit.
