Yes, it is, but only if I replace all of the music (it's contained all in one sound bank file) which I do not want to do.
If you want Medieval II-style music for the main menu, I recommend using DETrooper's "Medieval Kingdoms 1212 AD Music" mod as that implements the original Medieval II main menu music along with other Medieval-fitting music from other Total War games for the campaign and battles.

Haven't worked on it in years since I've been doing other things (e.g. AAA: Generals, Age of Bronze etc). I'll get around to doing it eventually.
