hard to retexture a bad model. the poly couny is to high, and it has like no proportions. this bothers me on a level i cant begin to discribe, but atleast i know why. look at some of the other items. you see simpler forms, because thats the style of the game. and then to make matters worse, the color pallet is obnoxious and off style too.

I like it, but I'd suggest you give it a bit more of a TF2 feel. In my opinion, the fox looks like it is based off a fox from a different game. Also, you could add something around the neck like the Chucklenuts has so that it can be paintable too. I like the item overall, but these improvements would really make it for me.
