This is a port of the "old" alien vision to the new shader format that was released in late 2013. The screenshot was taken in Dec 2013 using the mod; if it doesn't look like that now, then UWE must have broken it sometime during the last couple years.

Thank you so much! the newer version of the alien version makes me unable to see with the orange assaulting my eyes everywhere, i am SO glad to have this back!

Most servers do not put *all* mods on the whitelist. But the most recent patch did add the alien vision files to the default whitelist, so more servers will support it.

Subscribe, launch the game, open the 'Mods' menu, find Old Alien Vision, click to activate it. It will only work on servers that have alien vision mods whitelisted, so it won't work everywhere.

The new vision is because people would use alien vision all the time. It was their attempt at balancing it.

lwf, this is only happening for some people. Unsure what's causing it atm, might be certain gfx cards? This mod is the old .fx shader converted to .hlsl, so nothing should actually be different.

Very nice. It's a bit glitchy around the edges of the screen though, I'm certain the original vision didn't have those.

I do not like the new one sorry it just seems much harder for the eye i have to often turn it on and off one of the problems that i see with the new one is just to much glowing going on.
