It's working now. Thank you!!
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 4 febr. 2022 la 14:43
Yes, you can complete it with the instructions from the /!\ Warning /!\ part in the description. Note: I strongly advise to check if the piston is in retract mode and the merge blocks enabled
Heinz 4 febr. 2022 la 14:36
I used a printer and it all printed well. Got the blocks between the rotor and piston that are supposed to be there. I checked "Door TB" and the actions are greyed. I'm guessing that's were the issue is?
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 4 febr. 2022 la 12:52
Thank you! Have you tried to use a printer to build the ship? If yes is there ghost/greyed actions in the timer block "Door TB", the sensor or the buttons on the door? Is there something preventing the piston or the rotor to be placed? Is there blocks between the rotor head and the piston head as needed?
Heinz 3 febr. 2022 la 1:31
Love the ship! I'm trying to build it in survival and can't quite get the piston on the door mechanism to work. How did you do it? Just having a hard time making it open and close properly. Any help is welcome!
GuiTwo2X 21 aug. 2021 la 15:57
Very good and beautiful ship. Printed in survival mode. The ship works fine after repair the door mecanism.
Thank's a lot !!!!
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 19 sept. 2020 la 0:17
it is off by default to prevent high energy consumption, you can turn it on from the control seat or the terminal
Azul_Nova 18 sept. 2020 la 20:21
I love flying this thing around, only problem is, i cant refuel it. when i try to put ice into the o2/h2 generator, it wont accept the ice. I know im pretty inexperienced with the game, but if someone could help me out, i would appreciate it.

Still by far the most awesome small grid ship out there. I use this one a lot as inspiration in my game. You should do more small grid ships now that we have small grid door.
CautiousMeat 3 iun. 2020 la 14:58
There might be technically better or more complex ships but after hours and hours of searching the workshop, this is by far my favorite. Simple, versatile, sleek, it manouvers well, and it feels spacious inside.
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 30 apr. 2020 la 14:01
I did same, no issue. You should invite me in your game to see why this issue comes in your side and not in mine.
Villid 30 apr. 2020 la 13:50
Yeah, I did and that helped alot. After just dropping one in game to try it, I was having some issue with the merge block not releasing.
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 30 apr. 2020 la 7:34
I don't know if you watched the video about building this ship with a 3d printer, where I manually add missing blocks on the piston (subgrids can't be printed). The only issue I have if I'm not lucky is to have empty timer blocks after printing it, where there is a guide to solve it.
Villid 30 apr. 2020 la 7:21
I dunno, I gave up. I ran it through a 3d printer, and the blocks on the piston weren't printing them. I figured out that I was also having issues with merge block not disengaging even when the controls were correctly set. Must just be me.
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 29 apr. 2020 la 16:45
It works fine, even if I print the ship in survival the piston lifts the door. You probably missed something or misplaced a block.
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 29 apr. 2020 la 9:51
invite me in your game
Villid 29 apr. 2020 la 9:50
It's the piston. It won't lift the door.
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 29 apr. 2020 la 9:41
Follow instructions in the warning section in case some actions are missing. If not working, invite me in your game.
Ledo 31 mart. 2020 la 20:47
Is this one from Star Citizen? Just curious
Uriel Simmons a.k.a. Lanski 24 mart. 2020 la 12:24
Found it!
I did not know, that the "invisible usage" of the rotor block witch is basically 2 blocks higher makes it kinda "blocked" for the merge blocks.

That is why you placed 2 more blocks under the piston before the rotor head.
I had no idea. But now it works fine.

Thanks again for this really inspiring ship mate, now i finally can build my own space-shuttle airtight and with small blocks. Really big thanks.
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 23 mart. 2020 la 13:05
It works fine on my side, and there is no particular tricks, just configuration. Compare with the original door system if you missed something when configuring the sensor and/or the timer block.
Uriel Simmons a.k.a. Lanski 23 mart. 2020 la 12:52
This build is so damn inspiring and i tried to rebuild this door system just to understand how it works now for over 2 hours and it isn't working. :D

Merge blocks don't merge, and so the sensor does not detach the rotor ...
Is there any trick?
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 11 mart. 2020 la 0:44
@g master returns: thanks!
@LikapaTR: if you have followed the instructions from the warning section in the description and still have problem with the ship, invit me in your game or describe what is it and how you built the ship
LikapaTR 10 mart. 2020 la 17:03
I build to ship but have problem about door...dont understand how can i do :( Can you help me...
0ddbase 6 mart. 2020 la 10:40
man this is a sweet ship! i love seeing people who give their hand at making airtight small ships as it can be quite hard.
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 6 mart. 2020 la 9:30
Ah ok!
St.GIGA 4 mart. 2020 la 6:57
My bad, I was referring to the actual method of opening the ship, where you use your one piston to do the lifting of the doors with the rotor being used to avoid clang, In contrast to mine which works the opposite way - Rotors open my doors, and are mounted on a static piston
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 3 mart. 2020 la 23:58
Thank you!

"[...] but using pistons and not rotors"
There is a rotor with the piston to lure the merge blocks, to avoid the "cannot merge" message, otherwise there would be 2 pistons and not only 1
St.GIGA 3 mart. 2020 la 4:18
I was literally right about to upload a revised version of one of my creations which is a pressurised small grid. :steamhappy:
Yours seems to work a lot better than mine does though, and it looks like you've done the smart thing but using pistons and not rotors

On another note, this is definitely the best looking cabin I've every seen and you've done a really good job on making use of your interior space
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 2 mart. 2020 la 9:50
Thank you all!
@devildavin: to build a working hermetical door, yes
@Time_of_Day: some builds require block damage set to off to work properly without explosion. It's just to show that the door works fine with block damage set to on
@Deserter: glad to see that, I would like to contact you in private about your mod
devildavin 2 mart. 2020 la 9:18
this looks amazing dude you should feel proud of yourself
Time_of_Day 2 mart. 2020 la 9:13
It's a great looking ship, but may I ask why you shot it?
Lavawulf 2 mart. 2020 la 7:03
looks nice
Wildcard 2 mart. 2020 la 6:34
very clever door mechanism!
sauron2012 2 mart. 2020 la 4:33
Cool build!

this looks dope
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 29 febr. 2020 la 15:10
Yes
iMurmis 29 febr. 2020 la 15:05
Cool! Your door on piston hermetical?
Mad-Catcher  [autor] 29 febr. 2020 la 6:08
Thank you all!
@Septimus VII Yes, and this is the only block from armoured door blocks which is air proof
Septimus 29 febr. 2020 la 3:36
Wait, the void edges of armored door blocks are air proof ? this puts in serious question my previous designs of pressurized doors for small ships..

Nice design, and clever use of the cryo chamber at the back. Although the trip in it might be a bit scary xD
Sevyrs 28 febr. 2020 la 17:42
Very nice! subbed and upped!
