Can subscribe to this via Steam VR home (Valve Index) but cant visit this location, its not there in Environments. Downloaded and redownloaded with all needed assets. Doesn't help, when someone hosts this location I got red wireframe bug.

It is possible to play on Oculus, HTC Vive, and WMR, just open the tools, create a new addon, extract the assets to the new environment and set the asset pack as a dependency, then load the map. Hope this helps!

As you would expect from Valve.. it looks great... i wish they would get rid of jump travel in VR home now though or at least give you the option (they don't do they?) Really looking forward to the game :)

Damn... I love the details and music and have been waiting to explore this for so long, but I keep getting the red wire frame and it freezes. I tried uninstalling all 3 maps, then the assets pack first like mentioned, rebooted pc and re-dloaded and still doesn't work! So bummed. The only issues are just this alleyway environment - the other two work without any issues. Though I did notice there is lag when holding the flashlight and turning - it takes a second for the flashlight beam to shine the correct direction. Any suggestions or other fixes for alleyway to work properly?

ridiculous. can't use on WMR. Announced at the beginning does not mean people are warned. I bought the game but am not obliged to follow every single piece of info they put out. and they allow you to download but simply doesn't show up in steamVR. poor design throughout

HL:A is going to be available for literally every HMD out there. Just because you can't play this doesn't mean you can't play HL:A.

The fact that these bonuses would be given to Index users only was announced from the very beginning. Anyways, you can join anyone who does own the headset while they are using the map. You can still visit the places as much as anyone else, you just can't set them as your home or explore them offline. Quite a fair system, if you ask me.

Valve are magicians with making their maps looks so tasty. Was already eagerly awaiting the game release, but now I'm even more excited, though these maps are a great snack until then. Really cool!

@The_Dominar it's not photogrammetry at all, maybe some objects created using photogrammetry but whole level is a map, actual map with textures

Even though this is photogrammetry and the level is not rendered ingame, it already looks stunning. I can't wait to return to city17 after thirteen years of waiting in my mortal existence, i couldn't have imagined it would be a physical return to the best game franchise a company can own. Mind blown, this is graphics I expected in 5-10 years. This is better than anything I've seen on my monitor nevermind VR 144 hz. butter smooth no fps drops. This is true next gen.

Well, I got it working but this may not be the solution: Uninstall both scenes and the asset pack, restart computer, install the asset pack, and then the maps. The issue, I believe, was that I may have accidentally installed the Alley map before the asset pack- so a restart might not be required.

Has anyone resolved GameUI_ClientNoMap? The Russel scene works perfectly but the alley throws this error and I cannot join it. I do not own an Index so my situation is 3rd-party.

Ok I found a solution to the wireframe only view. Unsubscribe from both HL:Alyx environments and the Asset pack. Then subscribe to the asset pack FIRST, then the two environments after. This worked for me!
