I've spent a lot of time with this ship in survival. I love this thing! It's fast, even when fully loaded, and the extra capacity and higher mining rate (with 2 more drills) make it well worth the extra cost to build.

If you're sitting in the cockpit and try to fly it with cockpit forward it's a bit lacking in power when you hit space bar but tbh I just rock it back and blast off with the giant ones on the rear. When you put a remote control on the arse end and drive it with the "Top" of the ship forward then it's beautiful. I haven't tried it with a full load since the server I play on is 10x invo size/container size and I don't think I got it past 15% maybe.

I'm glad it worked for you. I never tried it on a moon, just assuming it wouldn't have the thrust to carry a full load. I always test and retest my miners in survival mode to make sure they can carry a full load of ore, including the connector, cockpit, and drills. Otherwise, what use is it to carry only a partial load? I agree that a lot of BPs are disappointing; hence, the reason I design my own. Most of my builds aren't very pretty , but I sure try my best to make sure they'll get the job done.

I like the fact that on the moon it will remain stable at any angle with all those thrusters. My old miner would start drifting and falling if it rolled too far or tilted too far forward or back. I was getting irritated so I looked on the workshop and found this guy. I made two "adjustments" and that was a programmable block in front of the cockpit (I use auto LCD 2 and use the LCD on the programmable block to show me my batteries, cargo and power input/output and then I moved the remote control block to be centered above the connector (I use the remote to line myself up with the vertical connector)

I was even able to dock on a vertical docking port with a 200k gold ore on board. That impressed me so

USUALLY when I use a blueprint from the workshop I end up chopping it up and heavily modifying them but on yours I didn't need to, just a couple minor personal adjustments. I love this rig so much. The best space miner in my inventory.

I really use my Sprite miner a lot for early survival play in space; it's easy on the part requirements and carries a lot of ore for its size. But I kept saying to myself that it's a bit underpowered when carrying a full load (i.e., a bit slow off the start, which is troubling if you've got NPC drones wanting to put the smack-dab on you). That's why I went with the two large ion thrusters. But then I realized that since I've got all this get-up-and-go now that I should add another large cargo container, and I'd better add a couple more drills to speed up the filling process. Yeah, it works pretty well now.

This thing is pretty sweet! Great work!
