I've been playing around with side-graded weapons and I was wondering if there is a way to use the mod to have a penalty to defence while they have the armour, obviously lost when they are shredded.
This way something like a sectodpod with a lot of modded armour is easy to hit while its weighed down. This will make sure theres a use for my side-grade weapons that focus on shredding vs damage.
TLDR - cant use negative values in the config, is there any way to do this?
Ah no, to program that would require me to change how shred is applied for all skills and abilities, which will definitely break some other mod. You can think of it as you have to hit the right spot for the armor shred effect to work!
But you gave me an idea. I'll release a version where armor gives dodge instead of defense. So each point of armor increase graze chance instead of misses outright, a less painful alternative than missing. Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh because certain mods already have that as a ability for their characters. Also if everyone starts out with more defense at full HP, how does that actually give you more tactical options in the game? It simply means everyone is misses more no matter what they do right?
Why not just increase the defense that low and high cover gives? At least that makes you need to consider positioning better. =D
Haha i know right. Creating a mod to help those who cant take the pain.Uploading soon.
Updated custom armor stats into the Weapon Stats Overhaul Mod

Agree Armour upgrades should give shielding instead of HP. Vests are the HP givers instead.
Given that fall damage is maybe 2 at most, think lorewise its fine that falling hurts your fleshbags despite their tough armour. Right now I've only been modding for 2 weeks, so sadly my coding kungfu isn't up to par. Never coded in my life before this.
I've also modded enemy weapon stats in my Weapon Customisation Mod. The Armour Perk goes both ways, now Armour is a Valuable Commodity for your item slot space.
Will post my custom Armour Mod values at a later date.
Yes it will stack. Bring lots of Armour Shred or Spec Piercing. Refer to my Weapon Customisation Mod for the solution to your pain.
I have no idea. Just downloaded modbuddy 2 weeks ago and this my first foray into the insanity of coding.
@Iridar
Thanks man!

If you know how to add ammo and other armour piercing attributes into this feel free to take over! Glad a professional is interested in this.
