It doesn't work in v6 because some of the components changed. It will need to be updated or scrapped.

works really good at Nuclear Production Complex if you bring alot of stuff with you at the start you can just use the solar panels then spam it and now you have alot of power

i made a huge power gen that makes 3K power per second

A steam generator (next to the batteries) seems to give it an almost instant jump start. A thermal generator (if placed on at least 3 blocks of hot rock or magma) also seems to work if given enough time. Anything below 162 power units seems to not work or take too long (I tested a combustion engine for 1 minute, so it might work but I don't know).
