Go to your /mod folder that can be found in /documents/Paradox Games/Crusader Kings/mod. Remove any files for this mod that's already there (just in case there's data corruption). Then, try the direct download, and unzip the .zip in the /mod folder, and try launching the game with that.

I had used the subscribe button and hadn't directly downloaded. I will try that to resolve.

Regarding the pathing, I'm unfamiliar with verifying pathing as typically I use subscribe and don't typically go direct download. How would I check order of mod loading?

It is possible that a rogue .mod file in the /mod folder isn't pathing properly to the mod files. Check to make sure that the .mod file is pathing properly to the mod files, and that there's no other's that might redirect it to another folder.

Did you download this mod from Steam workshop or the direct download link? If you got it from the direct download, make sure you're unzipping the .zip in the /mod folder. It should have everything you need.

Having helluva time getting this to work since update. I've deactivated ALL mods. Uninstalled yours, reinstalled, ran only with yours, and traits are not showing like they used to in the character creator.

Yeah, I only found out about that recently, so in my next update I might change that. Damn though, tfw no father-daughter complex.

Also when A mother is attracted to her son it is called A Jocasta complex, so if you want to change it or keep it the same to avoid confusion is up to you. I couldn't find what it is called when it's a father towards his daughter

Oh I didn't even realize that when I made the mod. I should probably update it soon for that.

Is it possible to add a check so the event only fires for characters that are or have parents? I've been using this mod and have found it strange how many characters are getting the traits when they have no parents/children to speak of.

I don't think so, the only files it modifies are the Way of Life Seduction decision and event files, but I don't think that should break anything.

Is this savegame compatible, or will it mess up existing traits if added mid-game?

Have you tried using add_trait oedipus_complex to see if it works yet? If that doesn't work, then the mod may not have installed properly. If that is the case, you might want to try the direct download from the Paradox Forum page, and unzip the mod manually in the /mod folder to make it work.

Oh huh, I didn't realize that was a side effect. I thought I set the mtth low enough, with enough modifiers to have characters decline, but I suppose I didn't, huh.

I'll definitely have to do some adjusting when I have time.
