I rewrote this mod myself to work with the community promotion screen

Yup, no wonder it doesnt work.
It requires old mod which overrides game default abilities screen with promotion screen.
And this mod hooks into that new promotion screen.

Unfortunately, I haven't modded xcom2 in a while and it's a bit of a pain to setup and dig into it.

sht, nothing is happening when i press RS.
I can see respec button i can rotate unit with RS, but pressing RS does nothing :(

There is ability info in place of where in this screenshot respec is suppose to be

Damn! This mod isnt tagged good enough on "im the commander here" it looks more like a fine print , almost missed it!

Greetings ! I know its a bit too late to ask here but I have this mod not workin, basically I can only use RS to rotate the soldier, there is no Rs click prompt like in the screeshot. Any idea ?

That's a bug with I'm the commander here. I've reported the bug, and Dare mentioned he would look into fixing it. But it can't hurt to mention it on the original mod.

I have a problem with this mod.
When navigating through abilities I want to change (with D-pad), the AP cost doesn't appropriately change. It always stays the same. (20AP cost instead of 2AP in my case)

Not sure if the problem is in "I'm the commander here" or this mod. I have Community Higlander installed.

I'm not a 100% sure, the mod relies on the `SubscribeToInput` method that is provided by the highlander which lets me know when the user releases a button press. If you'd like to work on removing the dependency the source is available.

Neither of my controller specific mods should require a new campaign. Thank you. I'm probably going to cook up another controller mod soon if I can figure out a good way to do it. (Adding a restart level cheat via controller inputs).

Excellent mod for we controller users. I'm currently using the controller grappling one, and its amazing. I'll give this one a try as well. However, I do have a question, can I subscribe at any point in the campaign, an have this mod work or does it require a new campaign? Anyway, thanks again for your work!

I don't run into this issue, and I pretty much only play this game with a controller. Try turning off steam controller support while playing this game, as that might be contributing to it.

Probably your own controller being buggy, i would just use a keyboard not like this is an FPS shooter, + keyboard has shortcuts

for me. when i play the game.. and use my x box conttroler. it will make the game dubble click on everthing.. so i buy two med kits ext. but where it hurts game play is the ufo attacking the ship. my 2ed team is always empty sense it will click twice. reading my first and 2ed team. and starting the misstion

This mod, is just to fix the missing bit of functionality in I'm the commander here to add a controller centric way to hit the respec button. Which without this mod can only be done with a mouse or using a console command.

Will u make a mod that will reset a soldiers rank/class so you can retrain him or get a diffrent class ?
