I'm using The Hunted btw. I guess this is happening because The Hunted replaces default kibble, so your fall back option kicks in.
I had lost my pet and didn’t want to tame another one, but then I used the pistol — and just like that, she came back to life! She didn’t have a Revival Stone, but I managed to use the pistol before the body vanished.
the corpse revival is only a fallback that may help in some cases if a corpse is still there
and you failed to use the mod properly.

this doesnt add any custom dinos.
i originally intended to make asa versions. and started to do it.
but life took some turns and i have just not had the time nor the will for it. sorry
not working?
if you have perpetual revival enabled then your dino will still have revival buff after being revived.
see the settings discussion on that.
i think a mod would have to made to enforce that somehow
