Mods que deberían ser vanilla.

Not entirely sure if it was the mod's fault but I watched the entire carpentry show on 7/11 12PM, and didn't get any experience. I can't recall if I fast forwarded.
This mod was great for me while the glitch was still there though. Thank you so much for it!

A lot of people seem to agree that this bug has been fixed and the mod is no longer necessary. I'm leaving it up just in case anyone still needs it, particularly those who might still be playing legacy versions of the game for whatever reason.

But yea, it's probably safe for most players to uninstall this mod.

I do not know, it's probably worth trying it yourself on your computer in case it is tied to your OS or clock speed.

The bug has been patched as of 41.53, tested multiple times - no need for this mod anymore

So it gave me exp in a batch so all exp from the show in one go when not in fast forward but no exp at all when FF. I switched off the mod and unsubscribed to make sure it's not loaded, tried watching the show in FF and it's giving me exp in small quantities, like it's supposed to be. There is a chance it's fixed now, I'm not sure.

Can you be more precise? What were you expecting to happen and what actually happened?

Bug still occurs for me. I've also found I have to be at the TV before the hour starts, so I have to be there at 5:50pm. If I arrive at 6:10, I do not get the exp. I've also tested this at normal speed, not reading. :)

Not sure, and I think it might also depend on your particular computer and operating system. I suggest you try it with and without the mod to see if it makes a difference.

Has this bug been fixed in version 41.50?

I think people don't realize that when the tic hits to give you the xp, there is a chance-to-miss that occurs if you are reading at that time. I think this may contribute to reports as being associated with fast-forward, but these are not mutually exclusive phenomena.

confirmed, only with tis mod the xp i recives in 1 hit, withouth the mod the xp is in varius hits, but identical

Unfortunately I think that's pretty deep issue that I don't know how to fix. I think it's the same underlying issue that causes this bug, and this mod is really just a bandaid as opposed to a genuine fix of the real problem, which is important stuff happening during ticks that the game "misses" somehow

Hey, I don't know where to ask so I'll ask here, could you potentially fix speeding up time cancelling actions? It only happens with F6 (fastest time) and it's super annoying and can even get you killed.

It might also be CPU and OS dependent. Plus, some TV shows have a different amount of ticks per episode; the ones with more ticks are more susceptible to the glitch.

However, are you quite sure you've done a side-by-side comparison of the total amount of XP you earn at max speed? In my experience, in the vanilla game you do receive *some* of the XP from TV shows at max speed. However, the more XP ticks per episode and the faster the game, the more of the ticks you miss, and the less total XP you get.

Not to say this mod was never helpful, it's just not needed anymore.

Redundant, vanilla .41 has already fixed this issue.

yea but then you just have to show up at the end after which point you leave anyway. When it's somewhere between the beginning and middle then at least there's a punishment for coming late.

you should make it so the exp gain is on the end of the show, not in the middle of the show. I exploited this very much and feel kida bad.

That's definitely possible. The game allows for dynamic stations that repeat at regular intervals forever. I don't think there's anything stopping us from adding XP bonuses to those transmissions.

I'm not too interested in creating that myself, though.

I usually stick around for the full program just to be fair, but yea, there's nothing mechanically forcing you to stick around.

It's either that or listen to the carpenter cowboy speech every day for a week.

Turn the tele on, then off immediately when the notification of the exp alert appears. "Saves" you 10-20 min in-game time. Honestly, it's hard to even call it an exploit.

If you change something in the steam mod folder, steam will automatically correct the changes, so if you want to change them you should copy the mod's folder into the local mod folder and then make your changes to that copy
