You're entirely correct, it is very much unoptimized. I had plans to merge models sharing the same materials to reduce draw calls but that was left out due to laziness.
I'm working on a separate map at the moment but I will probably do an update to Söderluoto once that one is released, I will most likely implement that merging with the update.

I really enjoy this map, but one criticism I have is that the map is very flat with little in terms of optimization. While I can get 90-100 fps indoors, I can only get 20-30 fps when looking at the island from far up such as in the tower or in a plane. While I can handle the frame drops it would be nice if it were more optimized. Either way, nice map, just needs quality of life improvements.

there's some flat beach area to the south-west of the tower that could make a nice dirt runway

a navmesh could probably be added, but a runway wouldn't fit too well though

a runway of some sort for planes would be cool as well

I don't know if anybody has asked this yet, but if you were to go into the radio station, you can hear a recording of someone speaking. Is that the recording of Hitler using his natural voice?

Howdy is there any chance you would release a version without the un removable crates in the bunker? Actually I was wondering if you would be interesting in uploading the .vmf file? I am wanting to get into mapping and so far this is the nicest map I have found that isnt super duper complex.

The sky textures are packed in the map just like the rest of the textures, it's something on your end that's causing the problem, and unfortunately I have no idea what it could be.
