I couldn't find it either. I was also sure it must have not installed. What worked for me was not selecting any filter icons and then using the search for "field" and there it was. Great mod btw. With a plopped down new farm industry you can then make it look like a normal farm. And throw in a couple of other assets, like barns. Maybe put them all into a collection?

Well, that's weird, but if you have done everything properly and it's not showing up, i don't think there's much i can do about it.
For everyone else it seems to work fine. I have no idea why it wouldn't show up for you.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to be found in the Asset Section!
I've tried everything, but I really can't find anything...

Have a closer look at the screenshots, which are showing the ui.
If you're in the assets section, in the top left corner, there are those little icons (tree, rocks, and so on). There's one icon for misc. assets. If you click on that, it shows you just misc. assests without all those trees and rocks. This should make it easier to find the things you're looking for.

That shouldn't happen. If you have activated the mod, it should show up. I never had an issue with this yet.
In case you have many other mods installed, try using the little filter icons in the ui to make it easier to spot.

Don't forget to activate mods, before you're able to use them.
Either in advanced options for new maps, or with the little + button in the loading screen.
Should be showing up then.

Doesn't look like it worked. The game is calculating it on it's own or something weird.
I set it to 0 now and gave it a test and it looked like that worked.

So, i reverted the maintenance cost. Should be gone now. It could be possible that you have to 'update' your fields. Meaning that you click on them, hit configure and change some parameters for it to update.

Ok, that's a fair point if you're just starting out.
Did you create the map with this tool and it took the maintenance cost over to the actual playing of the map? This wouldn't be ideal indeed.

Well yes and no. I created a map in the editor and added about 6 fields to each of the 12 farms that generated. I'm working on the achievement for not taking any additional loan, and on the Hard difficulty. I couldn't figure out what was costing me over $250K a year in "Maintenance infrastructure" Well, 12 farms x 6 fields each x average of $300/mo works out to $259,200 a year. Long run, that's nothing, but on day 1, that's a lot of extra maintenance.

I thought keeping fields tidy and animals alive would cost a little.
The maintenace isn't that high i think (400 for the largest field). If you have a steady income, this shouldn't really affect you. But if it gets too much at a high amount of fields i might lower it, or remove it again all together.

There's no way to turn it off currently, except you change it in the code.

Do you have financial problems due to it though?

Why did you decide to add a maintenance cost? These are just decorative. Is there any way to choose to turn off the maintenance cost?

i figured it out. when you click on play map then select your map to load you will see a little plus symbol middle right. I never noticed it as it was very small but this is where you enable the mods for a saved game. then load the map

Hi Kamykaze13, just wanted to say thanks again for this mod. It is fantastic! In a matter of 30 minutes I had a beautiful farming region on my map that would have taken all day to create manually.

Are you sure about this? I just tested this on a map where it previously wasn't part of and it worked just fine. Are you using other mods, which add items to the same category?

Does not work on a map you already created. Asset is not visible. Only works on new maps.

Oh, yes. I did this as well. It's much faster with this little tool.
And you can even 'misuse' it for avenue-type of streets.

I have improved the ui in the next version for easier use as well. Should be even faster then.
