It adds group file names to all of the individual models that it finds, so that they appear in the purchase menu in groups. I set it up so that it does not matter which of the repaints the user has activated.

Hi I am currently reworking all of my mods and that is a point that will also be included. That will come in any case, please be patient. I try every free minute to work on it after work ;-)

I can put a mod together that will group all of these cars in the purchase menu.
For anyone that wants to do this by hand, the fact that the cars are a separate mod is not a limiting factor - just specify the groupFileName you want to use in the normal way.

When adding these cars to a train they only load 1/4 of the resources.

Are you going to be using the new variant system? To reduce buy menu clutter.
