It was played during a special event last summer, but it is not hosted on any server because it tends to crash.

Cant speak for everyone but I enjoy custom maps, just wish more servers would host them.

Does this still get played? The last time I tried to edit the map it kept crashing. I'd rather map a new RS1 map but only if there was some demand for it really, it seems RO2 is played the majority of the time.

We need more Pacific Maps & Divisions...
IE: 37th Inf-Div & 4th Marine Raiders pretty much wiped out the Solomon islands by themselves, crazy part is the 37th Inf-Div was a Ohio "National Guard" division & the only Army inf-division to keep up with the Marines in the Pacific... most decorated National Guard unit in history.

When the tank mod I had didnt work on this map.FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK.It gets boring playing Pelilu and Betio but those are the only maps with tanks.Anyway great map.

Steam workshop is really annyoing, basically you cannot change the file name for example to kitajima_v2, so updated versions have to be named KitaJima and this can cause conflicts with the game if you join a server with a map of the same name but different version.

Is there any chance that we'll be seeing an updated version of this on the Steam workshop at some point? Putting a link to the TI forums thread in the description so newcomers can be a little less confused might be a good idea, by the way.

Oddjob, this is an old version, steam workshop is a bit awkward, you gotta go to the tripwire interactive forums, level design section for ro2 and go to the kitajima thread

This is, without a doubt, one of the most awesome maps for this game I've seen. The map is extremely large and has a wide variety of scenery. Thank you so much for making such an awesome map!

i really want to see 128vs 128 people playing a map like this
to get a true sense of what it would have been like to charge a beach head as part of a "human wave"
