This is a great MOD to see.
And this formation saved many a difficult battles for the romans. Best account- The batle against boudicca's forces at the battle of Watling Street.
Yet I feel that this formation should only be unlocked when you reaserch professional soldiery as this formation was a brillient example of the romans brillient tactics and disaplin.
But still cant wait to use this MOD. Thanks! :D

hey can you make a mod to add the testudo to spartans hoplietas as well as the other greek state hoplietas

Since Rome already has SW, DT, and AT maybe this should be a formation for the barbarian cultures?

oh and please....if you could make a defensive testudo with first-second row with pila used as spears....(as it actually was)...you would make so many people happy

I would of thought it would receive a defense boost as this is the formation Paulinus used in Britain againt Boudicca to defend against a vastly superior force(Numbers wise). But good job anyways, I've ALWAYS wanted a wedge formation for roman infantry. Appreciate it a lot!

I don't want to spend the time and effort to see if it would be possible to create a new ability and new unit spacing that the ability would use. I just gave the wedge formation from the cavalry units to the infantry so people could use another tactic in their battles. I don't see any reason this should conflict with anything Radious has done so far.

wouldn't there be more of a square base to this formation with the front ranks forming the wedge?

The Gauls had their own Wedge Formation called - The Boar's head

I was wondering why they didn't add this into the game, the wedge was a very awesome tactic especially when combined with other wedged units (to make a saw). Thanks for this mod.
