I like the concept, but it's so horribly out-of-place from the artstyle.

I think this would work as an amazing cosmetic it will give you more room to make something way more amazing then what you can do with spritesheets. I would recomend taking some inspiration from things like the beep boy and I think this could be a super cool idea. :)

It looks pretty cool but the artstyle is just way too off and for an unusual effect it's not that good honestly. Keep on making more stuff just don't forget to stay atleast somewhat close to the artstyle

At first, I thought this was a shield. So, you would be literally be bashing people with the Bashcam. That isn't the case, however, it is still a well-designed item!
