Whenever I use the whetstone and upgrade smething, I suddenly enter the last door I exited from. Any ideas on what's going on?

how many times can i sharpen a weapon with one whetstone? like after a while will i have to get another whetstone?
kage74 5. feb. 2014 kl. 19:39
Yeah, I always thought it odd that you needed an ingot to hone your blade at the grindstone. A whetstone is a good idea…another good idea, remove the ingot requirment to use the grindstone. Maybe add an option to pay the blacksmith to hone the weapon for you too.

I can not find it on counter. BUT I WILL GO TO VENDERS. CAN YOU MAKE THIS MOD TO SHARPEN ARROW TO BOOST DAMAGE ALSO? AS YOU CAN TELL I LIKE BOWS.

I like how you made it so that only swords and axes can be used with a whetstone. It always bothered me that the player uses a sharpening device to improve hammers.

would love to learn how to make mods like this...found it very benificial to my hunter/skinner RP character. Can't seem to read anything on the site to help me understand what it takes to make something of this nature...great mod

HEEELP!! I realy need this mod for my monster hunter weapon pack. But, what do you mean with: "all you have to do is duplicate your improvement recipe and change the keyword to "whetstone"". I don't know much about modding. plese help me :(

Ok, i just got a crazy glitch.

I was in Bleakfalls (not too far in) and found a swanky Dwarven sword and thought "Hey! Let's sharpen this sucker up and go kill some skeevers!". So I activate the whetstone, but the skeevers must have heard me because they attacked just as the menu tried to load. I was given the "can't sharpen in combat" message then the glitch happened. I was instantly teleported back to the entrance of Bleakfalls. At first I thought I might have died and been sent back to the autosave point (somehow bypassing the normal death screen), but all the bandits were already dead and the chest looted so it wasn't the autosave being activated. Can't for the life of me figure out what happened.

Wierd stuff, great mod though.

I'm highly anticipating the point in time when the bonus applied by the whetstone will diminish with use.
Great immersion concept, excited for that eventual update. Good work!

does it up your smithing skill

Yes, you rock Ive been waiting to find a all in one portable smithing shop, But this is just as good
that_guy 8. apr. 2012 kl. 0:50
A realistic and overall lovely idea, I would get it but I won't since I'm fine with heading to refine my weaponry.
devnullifier  [ophavsmand] 29. mar. 2012 kl. 17:36
Yes, you can improve the weapon 1/2 as much as you would be able to at a grindstone, and is still dependant on your smithing skill.
tickdowntozero 29. mar. 2012 kl. 6:46
does your smithing skill affect the usage?
devnullifier  [ophavsmand] 28. mar. 2012 kl. 23:26
They are free to improve, but they can only be improved half as much as you would be able to do at a grindstone.
Aj_the_wizard 28. mar. 2012 kl. 16:21
does it still require ingots of the right type? or is it free to improve
Archleiry of Not 28. mar. 2012 kl. 14:25
Just a possible future suggestion for immersion/roleplay purposes, it would be really cool to have an animation of your character using the whetstone on their sword when you activate it. Not sure if this can be easily done, but just something that would be really cool.
devnullifier  [ophavsmand] 27. mar. 2012 kl. 21:02
You'r right, I'll be sure to make it lighter with an update.
iKan Konqr 27. mar. 2012 kl. 5:57
Fantastic idea but isn't 1 lb a little heavy?? Seems to me 0.5 or less would be more realistic. However good idea so will sub and trial anyway.
