I like how you use the old dutch V.O.C logo ^^

So, I've been trying to use this mod and it only kind of works. I've only ever had the event fire once per game. I end up with a single frontier colony and then the mod event never fires again. No idea why not. Doesn't fire when I release vassals from sectors, doesn't fire when take a vassal by winning a war, doesn't fire when I create a vassal through status quo. Kind of disappointing.

does this work? Anyone can confirm ?

if you're asking if it works when you release a vassal from sectors? then yes

does the vassel have to be released as the demand from war or just released while at war?

It may have an issue with not accepting colonies as a valid subject? but I'm not 100% sure, the reverse, where my mod has issues with their subject types, shouldn't happen though.

When you say that issues may arise if used with Vassals Expanded and Reworked, do you have any specific examples?

can we milk the colonial subjects so much that they declare independence?

Only with the civic
antuan.wallace 12. nov. 2019 kl. 7:56
So can you only make colonies if you have that civic or can any Empire make them?

Going to try this soon. Good concept.

any country you release as a vassal or puppet in a war will have an event pop up for you to decide to make it a colony or not, so the best way is to colonise a far-flung planet, release it as a vassal and let it expand in that direction while you work towards a different region, for conquered planets this is just more of a cosmetic thing. colonies are pretty good in terms of resources, you should gain minerals and energy, but I can't remember off the top of my head if there's any other taxes. You also get a diplomatic bonus between you and your colonies
Spider 8. nov. 2019 kl. 1:39
So how does this work? Do you have the opportunity to convert a newly colonized planet in a new system into a colonial state, or do they just randomly start popping up? Do the colonial states get your technology? What are the taxes?

That said, I absolutely love the idea in theory and have been wanting something like this for a while. :)
