You know you can save your money and check the top of the description for a link to an updated version :)
cassity282 7. nov. 2022 kl. 8:13
would happily donate to somthing if it would help keep these animal mods updated. they are my favrets
akoyash 25. okt. 2022 kl. 13:46
fair enough
Oskar Potocki  [ophavsmand] 25. okt. 2022 kl. 13:45
The reason is I didn't get around to it yet.
akoyash 25. okt. 2022 kl. 13:44
if these mods are deprecated is there a reason theyre still in the collection
NostradEmus 24. okt. 2022 kl. 10:05
is this getting update along with others animals mods?
Sarg Bjornson  [ophavsmand] 11. okt. 2022 kl. 10:41
We have no idea
Boldimore 11. okt. 2022 kl. 10:40
Are these vanilla animal expanded mods compatible with CE? As of now I only saw the cave animals being stated as complatible with CE in the description.
Kudomundo 2. aug. 2022 kl. 20:22
I checked the stats of both the vanilla elephant and the indian elephant and it's clear that the vanilla african elephant is just a better caravan & hunting companion animal in every way, and they both have the same caravan riding speed.
My question is; does the indian elephant have a caravan speed bonus or reduced caravan speed penalty on mountainous terrain?
Sardaukar 28. okt. 2021 kl. 11:04
So here's something: you can edit one of the mods XML files to change the trainability level of animals (for instance I wanted attack anacondas). If anyone wants (and with permission of the author?) I can elaborate.
Molay 4. aug. 2021 kl. 6:14
You can always dig a moat with VFE Medieval and have them assigned to that zone for flavor I suppose?^^
Sarg Bjornson  [ophavsmand] 3. aug. 2021 kl. 23:36
Yeah, they were never the most useful animals :)
Riftwalker 3. aug. 2021 kl. 19:51
since alligators have a trainability of none, is there a point to them now(as tamed animals)? they also act like pets and don't go into pens. can't use them for guarding or anything and they'll just wander around your base/area you set them to.

I only have them because a trader was selling fertilized eggs but i think i lost my investment.
Molay 25. juli 2021 kl. 7:28
I second the motion for (big) frogs. Frogs are versatile by nature, both as holy symbols and as delicious french cuisine. Would be extra cool if they could be "milked" for some sort of drug with a psychoactive effect for the new drug ideology, too :)
NyxJen 21. juli 2021 kl. 10:24
i know this has been suggested before but now with the Ideology dlc I feel this would be a great addition. Frog. I need Frog cult and to please the Frog god.
Frigglish 12. juli 2021 kl. 4:21
Call it a philosophical question perhaps, but actually curious; why, of all lizards, do alligators use a unique BodyDef? - a question I guess applies to Moose from Tundra, as well, if the answers are similar.
Sarg Bjornson  [ophavsmand] 11. mar. 2021 kl. 22:45
Good news: your modlist is not a toilet, so it can't clog! But no, in all seriousness, these are conceived as modular, and they'll never be put together.
Richard 16. dec. 2020 kl. 11:40
how do I manually add tusks to the indian elephants? according to real world physics, "only some indian elephants have tusks" so there should be a "tusk drop rate" instead of just removing tusks all together
Oskar Potocki  [ophavsmand] 23. juni 2020 kl. 2:44
You need a mod like Giddy Up.
Panzerfanlol 23. juni 2020 kl. 2:09
I'm sorry if anyone's asked this before but is there a way to make the elephant rideable?
Omega13 4. juni 2020 kl. 9:30
A Dog Said animal healing does not appear to fix scars on indian elephants; not sure if other animals in this pack are affected
Gniwu 3. juni 2020 kl. 10:56
Yes, I can confirm what flyscotsman is saying about the 'Indiant elephants'. It's the line '<label>indiant elephant</label>' in the file 'Races_Expanded_TropicalSwamp.xml' that's causing the issue.
flyscotsman 20. maj 2020 kl. 12:54
Hi there, thank you for all your hard work. Wanted to let you know I sometimes see a typo in events involving Indian elephants, calling them "Indiant elephants".
Scrunky 22. apr. 2020 kl. 14:04
Oh boy I can now fully simulate Florida 10/10
[CoFR] Codo 10. mar. 2020 kl. 7:13
So I was going through one of my bills in the kitchen. Looking through the list of animal meats, I see:

Indiant elephant meat.

Spelled exactly that way.
Hydromancerx 28. feb. 2020 kl. 13:29
Please add ...
- Bullfrog
- Heron
- Shoebill
- Snapping Turtle
- Spoonbill
Sarg Bjornson  [ophavsmand] 24. feb. 2020 kl. 2:06
Nope, only the Livestock module
deceptiveyeti 24. feb. 2020 kl. 1:29
are all these in the base game now?
Leviathan 27. jan. 2020 kl. 20:23
The Indian elephants don't seem to drop tusks when you butcher them. Was this intentional? Can they be changed to have tusks? Wikipedia says the males at least usually have tusks. :)
Oskar Potocki  [ophavsmand] 13. jan. 2020 kl. 3:33
Yes
junwon1031 12. jan. 2020 kl. 18:41
indian elephant ingame color is gray?? is it correct?
Aquiles 7. jan. 2020 kl. 14:54
ello. Any plans for temperate biomes animals in the future? Thank you for your wonderful mods.
Oskar Potocki  [ophavsmand] 25. dec. 2019 kl. 12:05
Neither is RimWorld to be honest as the geography of the planet is random. We lose on realism for the sake of interesting gameplay.
Catlord9001 25. dec. 2019 kl. 11:04
Note about the alligator/crocodile difference: the Arid Shrubland pack of this series focuses mainly on African animals. If the crocodile in it were to keep with the theme, that would make it the Nile Crocodile, which is larger and more aggressive than the American Alligator. Granted, the greater trainablility still makes some sense, as Nile Crocodiles are relatively social animals, but the alligator being bigger and more agressive is... not quite true-to-life.
小蒋 12. nov. 2019 kl. 0:41
I must say this mod is great, especially for animal lovers; But maybe male Asian elephants should have tusks? (English is not my native language, please forgive me for the grammatical mistakes.)
CaptainSnafu 11. nov. 2019 kl. 3:01
hi, i have made chinese translation for this mod :
https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?edit=true&id=1910791816
Worgensnack 11. nov. 2019 kl. 2:47
ok, good to know
Oskar Potocki  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2019 kl. 1:01
Unfortunately not.
Worgensnack 10. nov. 2019 kl. 16:26
are there plans to make a compilation mod that has all these animal mods in one download?
Oskar Potocki  [ophavsmand] 10. nov. 2019 kl. 10:59
Did you test the mod ingame or are you here to annoy me?
Anon 10. nov. 2019 kl. 7:22
Did you just add *white* elephants?
10/10 best rimworld mod hands down, upvoted
maslav 9. nov. 2019 kl. 19:12
agree
Fossil.21 7. nov. 2019 kl. 19:47
You're objectively the best modder of Rimworld.
Oskar Potocki  [ophavsmand] 7. nov. 2019 kl. 11:30
The thing about small animals is the fact that they are small and not as important as the animals we decided to add. It’s important not to add 100s of new animals because that will only lower the chance of them appearing.

Keep it simple!
Sarg Bjornson  [ophavsmand] 7. nov. 2019 kl. 10:50
The main problem with smallish animals like frogs, kiwis, etc is that you spend a lot of time drawing the detail, and then they are like 4 pixels ingame. I'm not sure if that's why Oskar didn't add such small creatures, but it's the reason I added very few of them in Alpha Animals
TeddyTweaker 7. nov. 2019 kl. 10:44
I was thinking you might add some kind of frogs or toads with this biome, but still pretty great nonetheless. Looking forward to your future mods.
Oskar Potocki  [ophavsmand] 6. nov. 2019 kl. 16:15
Too big and wild to allow them to attack. Crocodiles are smaller tho, and capable of being trained to release.
Papa Smoke 6. nov. 2019 kl. 16:11
What, no attack alligators?
sopello_przecudny 6. nov. 2019 kl. 16:00
well. indian elephants do have smaller tusks...
