Oh, the mod description says "(Note to self to add another compatibility patch and look at a recipe)". Perhaps that was not a good place to put a note to myself. I don't know how long it's been there.

Ah, that quiver item. I had planned to make a quiver that doesn't shoot, that you just load ammo into and then wear on your belt, to speed up crossbow reload time. It's still in the file, unused in-game.

great crossbow mod! even tho the kitsune's crossbow got another new re-remaster now lolol would be amazing to have this mod patched for new re-remaster as well!

btw there's a some kind of repeater crossbow called "quiver" with the capacity of 14, but it makes no sound when firing or hitting zombies, is it not meant to be found and used in normal playthrough or is this intended?

It does but it can be made quieter. I don't know how realistic the numbers I put in are though. Probably a certain mod, whatever it's called, makes the crossbows really loud, though. I could find what mod that was and patch this mod for it. Some time.

It was the steel crossbow, my bad.

The metal one does not have a recipe to make it in this mod. The word lactose was from a joke and it's still there... o_o

Is there a hidden craftable metal crossbow? I was looking at a sling earlier and amongst the weapons it could be attached to was the lactose metal crossbow.

Not sure why, but there's a strange incompatibility with the brutal handwork mod: when double handling weapons, the secondary attack doesn't work. This doesn't happen when one handling only with the secondary, weirdly tho

I think the aluminum bolts from this mod can only be found, not made. This probably works in mulyiplayer.
Maybe I should check if this mod is compatible with "Night Vision Chucked" which is also listed there. It's failing on "original_render(self);"

there seems to be conflict with Remastered Kitsune's Crossbow Mod, when shooting long bolts with scout crossbow from that mod you sometimes loot back bolts from this mod and not long bolts

That was a mistake, I copied over part of a Firearms B41 patch from another mod so it did not have the full patch and also I did not change enough of the variable names, and I thought I tested it with Firearms B41 but apparently I did not test it with that. :| At least it is fixed now though.

Hi, I use this mod for my rp server! With the recent updates I can't use it anymore, cause I can't reload the crossbow nor shoot with it (only by trying to reload and shoot one time it gave me 248 errors) if you can fix it it would be great.. I love this mod TwT

Gluten the Sensitive: I also still use your armor mod, and i like the look of it. a helmet would have been nice, but i still favor that set more than most other armor. I also like the look of this Crossbow as is. the repeating crossbow bit is me just going "I love crossbows, i love rapid fire ones even more even if it isn't logical". I tried to figure out how to get such a function to work from looking at your code, but im just not there with Lua yet.

but yeah, the accuracy system in Zomboid just... I don't get it with gun-likes. bad enough most make to much noise, and can have limited supply. some of the guns that should be easier shots than others are not even arranged well as i understand it. this is one of the only games where i prefer to melee.

Oh the code yeah I have become reasonably competent with Lua. I'm not very good at computer artwork though, which is one of the things I think of my armour mod. Oh the inability to hit a target without special training, and even then being bad at it, yes that's a Project Zomboid thing that seems unrealistic to me. People can have good accuracy with nerf guns.

Gluten the Sensitive : I still use both this and the armor mod you made. i also trialed the bow a fair bit. I always keep your stuff in my rotation, but I have to admit looking at your work on this mod and what came of it got me to consider digging deeper into the games code. You've done amazing work with this, and i usually always keep the crossbow on standby, even when my character wouldn't know how to fire it if they tried.
