Not a chance, needs special AI
Fedora the Explorer 26. juni 2021 kl. 7:23
Is there any chance this is compatible with DerBK's "A better AI" instead of the Future pack?
Deadput  [ophavsmand] 27. jan. 2020 kl. 21:45
If you mean the Bio Commander Advent stuff then you can't change their colors using "DEC", you will have to download the mod tools and make a manual retexture yourself.
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 27. jan. 2020 kl. 16:39
Im sorry i have 0 editor experience i know about as much as you do
neIVIesis 27. jan. 2020 kl. 14:10
@Advent avenger I don't know how to use the modkit. I know it's the vanilla color, do you happen to knwo what the RGB values are? I am actually trying to recolor the BioComand tint to this using the "Dynamic Enemy Creation" mod.

I like this Olive Green much better than the bright green.
Fischy 27. jan. 2020 kl. 12:02
i allready have him but was going for a "too many mods campain" so i was hopeing for even more enemies
:D
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 27. jan. 2020 kl. 11:48
Use the ADVENT General revamp, he looks awesome and has his own AI. Mine is more in line with existing game components and uses my advanced AI. Look for it here, he has a long flowing cape it's awesome.
Fischy 27. jan. 2020 kl. 11:25
really wish i could use him without the ai pack
Deadput  [ophavsmand] 27. jan. 2020 kl. 11:05
Speaking of such, I've had some spare time recently and I've been taking another shot at the skin for this guy, having trouble getting the exact look I want but I've learned a couple new techniques since I've made the original new skin that is currently a part of the mod.
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 27. jan. 2020 kl. 10:47
This is the ADVENT General. He is part of the base game. This unit is the one on the last screenshots as it was recolored to not look like the General which is an objective target.
neIVIesis 27. jan. 2020 kl. 6:56
What RGB values did you use to tint that armor Olive Green like that?
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 9. okt. 2019 kl. 12:22
Something simple is fine, ill take whatever i get
Deadput  [ophavsmand] 9. okt. 2019 kl. 11:46
I'll see what I can do though
Deadput  [ophavsmand] 9. okt. 2019 kl. 11:46
It's also about getting permission, it would be the simple thing to do to just use them but change the red to black but I don't know if they would let me.

I'm not a member of CX so it might be a tough sell.
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 9. okt. 2019 kl. 0:39
The creative xenoa team advent general with the gold trimmed cape looks great. You can use it as a reference if youd like. I dont expect you to do the same they have like 4 experts on that team but it gives a good idea for the colors. Swap all the red with black and voila its what i imagined
Deadput  [ophavsmand] 8. okt. 2019 kl. 15:01
When I have more time I'll work on a 2.0 on the guy's appearance, want to make the colors better within my ability.
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 3. okt. 2019 kl. 9:40
Ah shit bad copy paste
JJLuckless 3. okt. 2019 kl. 7:16
The pod size increaser links are both for the same mod. I hope it's the one to use, rather than the one to avoid.
lil rat 26. sep. 2019 kl. 20:20
Cool, can't wait to see the new model, glad he isn't the same green officer we all know and love in a certain mission type.
dmc32 23. sep. 2019 kl. 19:04
Looks good this guy will be a beast with his skill set.
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 23. sep. 2019 kl. 15:09
The new ADVENT Avenger model is up, it's not complete but it gives a good idea of where we are going with it. Thanks to Deadput.

Preliminary screenshots uploaded.
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 22. sep. 2019 kl. 23:22
If someone were to create animations for FanFire, FaceOff and LightningHands he could also use them. I tested it and it works with my new code, but its not visually represented :(
Star¤Dagger 21. sep. 2019 kl. 22:59
Excellent
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 21. sep. 2019 kl. 22:52
Reflex (Skirmisher ability) and Full Throttle added.
Star¤Dagger 21. sep. 2019 kl. 22:30
AA, what was the update?
Star¤Dagger 21. sep. 2019 kl. 18:38
@Miley Go full AA, you won't regret it, thought your dead soldiers might!
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 21. sep. 2019 kl. 8:42
Then dont and yes
Rarky 21. sep. 2019 kl. 5:13
Is this absolutely dependent on the Required Mods? Because I really can't see myself getting both of them and all of their other required mods.
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 20. sep. 2019 kl. 10:47
The reason i dont do copies is that if i mod advent future I want this to be affected as well. But feel free to copy everything it will work.
Malek Deneith 20. sep. 2019 kl. 10:40
Regarding the talk to make it compatible with ABA - I feel like better way to go about it would be to make a copy of the required AI routines (with a doublecheck to ensure there is no name overlapping between them and ABA AI), then bundle it with this mod but dormant (either rename AI.ini to something like AI.txt, or if that's not possible then comment out everything in AI.ini).

That way someone who plays with your AI would just install the mod and play, while someone who wants to slap this enemy onto ABA would still be able to, but would need to perform some easy work of their own to "unlock" the required AI.

That being said this would likely be annoying work (I did some kitbashing of select ABA units to play nice with your AI packs so I know from experience, haha) for a limited group of people, so I understand why you'd not want to touch this.
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 19. sep. 2019 kl. 14:44
Take your time no rush. Its a hobby were supposed to enjoy not work.
Deadput  [ophavsmand] 19. sep. 2019 kl. 14:30
Sorry for the lack of reply, I won't be able to start work on the new look until at soonest tomorrow due to some personal things that require me to be away from the pc for most of the day.

I do have the individual limb pieces for Advent units at the ready though to make a pawn with Blender, that should be the tough work with the textures not taking too long.
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 19. sep. 2019 kl. 12:10
TBH i'm also somewhat incitating to try it out
Edit:Ed 19. sep. 2019 kl. 11:42
Fair enough, not a job someone on the consumer end can do with a cut-paste.
Thanks for replying, and one day once I'm done with this long-old-run and can start again I'll make sure to swing by Future Complete and see what this one can do!
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 19. sep. 2019 kl. 11:04
ABA could elect to copy my AI and it would work. Ive ways told DerBK that what is mine is his. Theyd need to rerelease it however and include everything here. Its feasible but i doubt it interests them.
Edit:Ed 19. sep. 2019 kl. 10:32
This is unbelievably cheeky - given that it's obviously your own mod designed to work with your own mods. But would it be a simple or a tough task for a mere mortal (ie not an avenger) to port this into ABA?
I could take or leave the AI choices but I love the extra enemy varieties from ABA (let's face it I just love having a whole host of enemies, period.) and would prefer to just stack this BEAUTIFUL specimen amongst them rather than in place of them. Is there a way I could like, paste their AI .ini into ABA to make them functional? Is that a thing? Code is an arcane language that scares me on a spiritual level...
Regardless, this looks a glorious chappy and I might just download Future Complete simply to see them in action someday.

Juravis  [ophavsmand] 17. sep. 2019 kl. 22:58
Let's mix the Shieldbearer and ADVENT General to give the pawn some buffness. I like the Shieldbearer arms with big logos and the General head would be a good fit maybe?
Deadput  [ophavsmand] 17. sep. 2019 kl. 22:51
I'll start in a day or two and get back to you when I can, I'll share screen shots as I go along to see if it looks good to you.

Do you want it to be the Officer's model as a base or any other Advent unit like the Priest? Just asking to make sure.
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 17. sep. 2019 kl. 22:49
Might have been that then, just eye tricks. You can do whatever feels right.
Deadput  [ophavsmand] 17. sep. 2019 kl. 22:48
Well in the base game files themselves there is

I think the Priest is the only one with gold, sometimes the regular General tricks my eyes depending on the lighting but otherwise I don't there is any gold on the main Advent units.
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 17. sep. 2019 kl. 22:23
You can keep the emissive lights to red unless it clashes too much. The ADVENT logo also needs more contrast, silver or white or gold is good.
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 17. sep. 2019 kl. 22:14
There is already gold colored textures in one of the ADVENT troops i forget which. Basically you only need to swap the green for gold i guess. I think it's the Stun Lancer Elite my memory is fuzzy. I swear one of the ADVENT units has some.
Deadput  [ophavsmand] 17. sep. 2019 kl. 21:55
Alright I'll see if I can make time to make the reskin

So primary black armor with gold decals or the other way around?

How about color of the visor and emissives/lights?
Star¤Dagger 17. sep. 2019 kl. 20:50
@AA I hear you, and both of your visions are incredible.
Insufferable Smartypants 17. sep. 2019 kl. 19:28
Goddamn this sounds fantastic!
Juravis  [ophavsmand] 17. sep. 2019 kl. 18:45
ABA and my stuff is a different vision its not possible to merge them you'd lose the flavors of each
Syro System 17. sep. 2019 kl. 18:43
Saw this, was going to add it right away, noticed the AI mod requirement, sadface.jpeg because the AI mod conflicts with my modlist.

Other then that, awsome work on this dude :)
Star¤Dagger 17. sep. 2019 kl. 17:44
@Flashstriker You have to move over to all AA universe.

@AA, get with DerBK and make a Grand Unification mod!
