Being airborne makes it effective against ground targets and airships, and aiming at both I found was very easy. Also not using antigravity to float means that it can run away from combat if it runs out of battery, especially with its boosters.
The weapons it's outfitted with are very effective, with Hawkeye Mk3 Battleship Cannons to penetrate deep into armoured targets and missiles to clear up planes/flares/small fry. I especially liked the usage of Venture Sonic Lances to negate recoil from the large Battleship Cannon array, which works very well.
This is definitely a +1 if not a +10 to my Dunnock in terms of cheap airship killers. The added cost is more than made up for by the increased effectiveness and survivability.
I would just say: airships beware.
