There is a version updated by Mlie for the time being. I've got an update in the works but no ETA.
WaffleSpanker 6 sept. 2021 la 17:00
Do you plan on updating this for the current rimworld version.
And dose this and the other mods work currently even tho they haven't been patched for the new game version?
Lambda 28 iun. 2021 la 8:24
is canned food better than survival meals for caravanning?
colocota 24 apr. 2021 la 9:10
For anyone interested, this mod seems to work fine on 1.2, with one caveat: the x4 recipes for meals wont use the ingredients added by this mod (even though they appear in the list, pawns will ignore them, works fine for the single meal recipes though) , i think because maybe the meal x4 recipes were added in 1.2 ?
MiTHRiL 23 apr. 2020 la 6:51
cant cook rations with any processed stuf
Mlie 21 apr. 2020 la 13:08
Made an update of this for RimWorld 1.1 after contact with Crustypeanut.

Hope this helps anyone!
Varjonyymi 5 apr. 2020 la 17:12
Seems to work just fine with 1.1
SetArk <Nyanverick 07> 4 apr. 2020 la 16:02
"Canned meat = mystery meat. You don't know what you'll find! It all tastes the same once its been processed and canned."

PTSD flashbacks from Fallout 1 coming to mind.

Also, great mod, exited for 1.1 !

Heavily expecting the new version. Can't wait to see my lovely ice-cream again!
Anthony the Wise 21 mart. 2020 la 16:31
I miss my meals and munchies. :( I hope this gets updated soon.
Vamp 6 mart. 2020 la 5:08
oh makes sense, sorry I just didn't think into how it worked
Crustypeanut  [autor] 5 mart. 2020 la 21:24
That.. was actually a design decision the way I did it.

Canned meat = mystery meat. You don't know what you'll find! It all tastes the same once its been processed and canned.
Vamp 5 mart. 2020 la 21:17
making canned insect meat disgusting would be good, that sounds pretty exploitable honestly
KelpTheShark/KasumiTakeshi 2 mart. 2020 la 14:05
Hi! No rush, but I was hoping this gets updated soon. I don't know what to do with all my insect meat now that I can't can it yet in 1.1! I hope it's updated soon, but again, no rush. If you have an ETA or anything, I'd love to know so I can decide whether to destroy my insect meat or wait.
Crustypeanut  [autor] 24 febr. 2020 la 14:55
Thats.. rather hilarious Matsci, tbh. I'll keep an eye on it when I update it to 1.1 All my RimCuisine mods are gonna see some overhauls for 1.1
Matsci 24 ian. 2020 la 11:26
@Crustypeanut I've got a bug report for you!

My healer mech serum just cured being cooled down with ice cream, rather than the frail condition i was trying to cure.
Kurugane 24 ian. 2020 la 5:10
Has cheese switch to medieval yet?
darthdud0 12 ian. 2020 la 12:27
i don't know if i should ask this in this mod or core, but can you add bread? it could be a bland and not so nutrition option that only needs flour, if not then sorry for bothering you, i love your mods. :)
萌王喵酱 12 ian. 2020 la 6:35
This mod is perfect, but I don't know why my colonists rarely (almost never) go for snacks...
NotaKing 11 ian. 2020 la 21:00
@BrenTenkage there isn't a way to make them yet. I think there's another mod on the workshop that can help you with that!
BrenTenkage 7 ian. 2020 la 15:42
how do I get pizza, forgive me but I can't seem to figure out how to make it, and I think m yunderground vault needs pizza if I want them to be the ninja turtles
Stanley Paper 14 dec. 2019 la 2:03
I see that balance is on your to-do list. I noticed that cheese has a market value of $3.00, and provides more nutrition, lasts longer, and costs 2 milk to make, however milk has a value of $3.10.

If there is a list for balance changes, could changing the value of cheese, or lowering the value of milk be added?
primetime_29 16 nov. 2019 la 7:43
When do you expect the next update to come?
Crustypeanut  [autor] 30 oct. 2019 la 3:34
@Bradders I'm changing that up soon. Not even sure what I was thinking putting it there. As far as alcohol, its in the drugs section - theres a new alcohol section under drugs.
BraddersNTA 30 oct. 2019 la 0:23
Is there a reason making Cheese is locked behind Industrial-level tech? We've made the stuff here on earth for well over 2000 years, seems like at least Medieval-level colonies should be able to figure it out, meanwhile my muffalo cheese curds are just going to spoil.

Also, bread and sandwiches - the time and material requirements beg some improvements beyond a regular meal, perhaps give sammiches a No-Ate-Without-Table-Debuff owing to their hand-friendliness.

And lastly, where in the stockpile menus does the new booze go?!
Crustypeanut  [autor] 25 oct. 2019 la 18:18
The Cook-o-matic has that, with the exception of lavish meals. I decided to, for balance reasons, make bulk meals more difficult to create (requiring the high-tech piece of equipment), but they're there in this expansion.
waywardKing 25 oct. 2019 la 18:09
Do you have any plans to add bulk recipes for meals? Making fine/lavish meals 4 at a time is the only thing I'm really missing from my usual Vegetable Garden games. There are mods that add them, but I'm not sure about compatibility, and they certainly wouldn't work for any of the meals you've added.
PhantomOfGrace 24 oct. 2019 la 17:10
@Crustypeanut I have no idea how I could make them work, personally. Link to some kind of "Rimworld mod edits 101 for dummies"?
Crustypeanut  [autor] 24 oct. 2019 la 12:15
@Wolski: I will be adding more stuff in the future. I'm working on an overhaul of the snacks right now, during which I'll add more stuff too.

@Phantom I mean they're called berries when you harvest them but they should work fine.
PhantomOfGrace 24 oct. 2019 la 11:35
Any plan on making the vanilla Strawberries into a usable fruit for the recipes? Would love to make myself a stock of Strawberry fruit preserves and soda. mmmmm Strawberries.
Wolski 24 oct. 2019 la 10:31
Hi! Do you plan on adding any more specific dishes?
I have noticed you are trying to stay very Vanilla with the things you add (like the nonspecific pottage to fit the simple meals etc) and I really enjoy this style but I thing some more specific yet not "literal" dishes would be a nice addition. For example bread, which could be used, as a ingrediante for preparing meals or maybe even start a new chain of (nonspecific) sandwiches, or maybe cakes or soups.
That would add more variety to your kitchens menu which I thing would be aprreciated and also keep the vanilla theme your mods have.
Pablo Discobar 22 oct. 2019 la 22:28
Oh! Thank you for the response and help!:lunar2019piginablanket:
Crustypeanut  [autor] 22 oct. 2019 la 18:26
@Pablo Discobar There isn't a recipe for making chocolate usually (comes right off the tree), so instead look for the recipe in the RC2 Core mod (not the meals and munchies one). Its under RC2_Process_Cacao. Just remove the part with the RC2_SweetsRaw and RC2_SweetsProcessed (specifically, the <li> with those in it)
Pablo Discobar 22 oct. 2019 la 8:42
I noticed that once I had installed this mod (or the core), the recipe for Chocolate now requires a sweetener ingredient, is there a line of code I can edit just in case I wanted to adjust that requirement? I couldn't find it in the .xml files, or maybe I'm just not looking more properly. Thank you for the mods, though. I'm having a blast using them!
Crustypeanut  [autor] 21 oct. 2019 la 13:14
@TechSy730: Thanks for the idea! I didn't think to look for that. Will do for sure.

@Mikaboshi: Lavish meals require a chef's touch. The cook-o-matic is an amazing machine but it has its limits.

@Primetime Yeah I need to go through this mod and rebalance everything.
TechSY730 18 oct. 2019 la 23:02
The cook-o-matic should contribute to classifying a room as a "kitchen" just like the vanilla stoves do.
Mikaboshi 9 oct. 2019 la 13:18
I can make simple and fine meal with the cook-o-matic but not lavish meal is it not able to make lavish mean?
Pillowesque 8 oct. 2019 la 10:41
+1 to the medieval ask -- playing one right now with the vanilla factions mod (which is funnily how I found the rimcuisine set of mods since it was listed as compatible) and dying for some more cooking to do! Cheese or some more old-timey type stuff to cook would be cool in pre-industrial
primetime_29 2 oct. 2019 la 13:33
Could you maybe have the cheese press unlocked at pre-industrial tech for my medieval times game?
Ferpman (Cyan) 26 sept. 2019 la 18:35
No worries, just was curious.
Crustypeanut  [autor] 26 sept. 2019 la 17:01
With non-modding related stuff**. Work work work
Crustypeanut  [autor] 26 sept. 2019 la 17:00
I still need to add the recipe to the game. I've been busy :(
Ferpman (Cyan) 22 sept. 2019 la 19:46
Is pizza still able to be made? Or is it a delivery-only type of meal?
CT-7567 20 sept. 2019 la 2:22
can you not cook extravagant meals on the cook-o-matic?
jjdinkle 18 sept. 2019 la 4:57
Can confirm the issue with pawns having no interest in snacks. Using the Assign Policy mod thingy I can't remember the name of however and not sure if thats the reason. Shouldn't be as alcohol from your mod works wonderfully I believe...?
Crustypeanut  [autor] 12 sept. 2019 la 9:05
I'll check it out
olib 12 sept. 2019 la 0:16
Candy works no problem, I believe that is from the base mod though?
olib 11 sept. 2019 la 22:59
I am finding my pawns have pretty much no interest in snacks. I made a load of crisps early game and other than the ones I forced people to eat they are all still there. I have cupcakes made more recently that sit untouched. Have not tested others yet.
Luinithil 11 sept. 2019 la 1:33
Just a suggestion, but Pelador's Apothecary mod introduced a few herbs and spices I thought would be a nice point of integration with RC2-- lavender tea, garlic bread? Young nettle and kale salad? Curries with the star anise, turmeric and ginger and RC2 chillies?
Crustypeanut  [autor] 31 aug. 2019 la 13:38
I'm adding more stuff in the future ;)
