@Historic Hippo Team
In the mod's folder, open the file named BigBossSoundtrack.xml in a text editor, then locate each instance of this text and adjust the values to your taste:

<MaxVolume>40</MaxVolume>
<MinVolume>40</MinVolume>

I like how the music adds atmosphere to the civ but my only complaint is that the soundtrack's a little quiet; I can barely hear it (the other civs I play with have much more noticeable music). Is it possible to raise the volume and make the soundtrack more noticeable?

I didnt see it, but I assume I'm supposed to put it in the Snake mod?

@PilotLeo1 Go to steam workshop downloader website, paste the link there, download the file, change it's file type to .rar, unzip it and place in the Documents/My games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/MODS

I cannot download the mod through Steam and your alternate download link is down. Sorry to bother you about this but I really enjoy this mod.

I tried downloading the mod, and it said it had 0 KB in it. Your alternate download link also does not work anymore. This seems to be a problem.

@Ofiicer Hot-Pants XD iknow your feel especially it "would" be harder at the final month of wait before the D.D. (diamon day) ~~
well i say would because for now my joy of finding somthing to kill my bordedom for this damn last month is dead since there is no link to download the mod and the sub doesn't work...... so just waiting XD

Goddamnit! Do you have any idea how hard it is to concentrate on Civ when you're too busy fighting a desparate, losing battle to keep your eyes dry?

Boss... ;-;

This mod worked great when I played as MSF Civ. However, after I saved the game, quit, and then loaded my save game file the next day... the loaded game no longer plays the sweet MGS music. Is there any fix for this?

I had a lot of grief installing this. Game'd crash to desktop and crash Steam itself whenever I subscribed to it. Had to manually download to install but that also caused a crash once before working.

Hah, well then. Good luck.

@Kyte
The whole C4DF compatibility stuff doesn't even work, haha. I've figured out how to *actually* do it, but I also want to add compatibility for a few other mods. It's a little daunting to get it all to work and to test each possible mod combiation right now, so it may take a bit.
Kyte 5 MAR 2014 a las 12:25
(So yeah I'm going through every mod) This time I noticed that in TopPanel, in the Happiness tooltip, you're missing the bit of code that adds the Vassal Happiness line from C4DF.

Wait is this like what plays instead of the people singing?

@Vice Virtuoso
Neither of those managed to solve the issue in that particular game, but the soundtrack seems to operate just fine in a second map I generated, even after restarting the program. I guess I just did something interesting to that savefile or something.
Thanks hugely for this, by the by. Like Venice, but with gameplay.

@Jamie624
I just tested both versions of the Civ and the soundtrack worked fine. Try disabling then re-enabling both mods, then try it again. If that doesn't work, exit the game, delete your cache, and re-enable the mods.

Soundtrack worked perfectly until I turned on the game again the next day. Now instead of sweet MGS music I just get a continuation of whatever OTHER music is playing at any given time - after I load up the game I get the default menu music until I talk to a civ, then I get their diplo music, then I get the music for whoever I pick a fight with next, and so on. Restarting the game doesn't seem to help.
Tavernmaster_Lone 2 ENE 2014 a las 15:09
Tried playing as MSF v 8 and MSF v 9, the music doesn't seem to play on either just the normal Civ 5 music. Do I need to play it in the Direct X10/11 version of the game or it should work in DirectX 9?
Legataius 23 NOV 2013 a las 14:29
For some reason the mod doesn't show up in my menu. Is anyone else having this problem?
galacticreggie 10 NOV 2013 a las 0:36
Okay, good. I was wondering because MSF never had it's own music.
Vie S  [autor] 9 NOV 2013 a las 22:25
@reggiefive0
The full soundtrack only plays when you are playing as the MSF. If you are not the MSF, but they are an enemy player, the leaderhead peace theme (Mother Base theme) and the war theme (Peace Walker theme) will play during diplomacy with Boss.
galacticreggie 8 NOV 2013 a las 20:41
Is this music exclusive to the MSF civ or does it play for everyone?
Chompy 24 OCT 2013 a las 16:59
I love this. Makes Civ V so much more badass

Whenever Snake Eater comes on, I become a very happy fellow.
