Plants at the very edge of it's covered radius will die from rotting like they aren't actually covered by the radius. Basically if you imagine a big X drawn though the covered area, the plants in the one space at the edges of the X points don't behave as if they are in the radius of a sun lamp.

working in 1.4

Too op, next time make a sun light that covers all the map.

Since this mod is reported working in 1.3 I've added it to the No Version Warning-mod

Hope it helps!

Update? Pretty please :)
Robert E.T. 24 iul. 2021 la 10:03
It works on 1.3
1337 Kiwi 15 iul. 2021 la 22:28
I would love it if you could update this mod to 1.3 please.
Moonlightfox 5 iun. 2021 la 9:37
I'm editing the radius and power values down a bit to match what I had Murmur's set to, but I'm using this because I want 2 lights added not 15 separate colored lights.

@demopan make a local copy and edit WSL_SunLamp.xml to change it how you like. Pretty easy to read through and find what needs changing.
efimevgen98 25 ian. 2021 la 2:05
Imho, that's too OP. It should either have lesser distance or higher costs.
Demopan 27 sept. 2020 la 13:31
Is the Wattage of the lamps customizable?

If no, could you kindly make it so?
Thunderstorrm 14 aug. 2020 la 0:23
Lol Wow! That was fast!! Thank you!!!
NECEROS  [autor] 13 aug. 2020 la 23:58
Done. :) updated to 1.2

If you find other mods that aren't updated it's because I forgot or I'm lazy. Motivation helps.
Thunderstorrm 13 aug. 2020 la 23:57
Actually I was looking at the list of those modes above this chat and I use several of those. I'd love to see them all updated although I can imagine that might be quite some work. Anyway Thanks for the mods in the first place and I do hope they are updated to 1.2 Thanks
NECEROS  [autor] 13 aug. 2020 la 23:56
oh sure, I can do that!
Thunderstorrm 13 aug. 2020 la 23:55
@Neceros Do you know if you'll be updating this mod? I really like it and am hoping you will. Anyway I appreciate your mod and would really love to see it updated. Thank you for making it for us!

thank you

Can you provide Chinese
NECEROS  [autor] 10 iun. 2020 la 14:01
It's definitely possible, but would take a lot more coding.
WhiteWolf 10 iun. 2020 la 10:30
As you mentioned ceiling lights is probably better because of how light radius works. However, the wall would be - in my opinion - significantly better if the light would not be circular. For example, you could use the template from television / flat screen. This way it will cover nicely the crops / way more fitting for a lamp wall.

Is it possible to add such a lamp? For base design, this would much much better / nicer to use.
NECEROS  [autor] 11 ian. 2020 la 23:38
@chanw4 Honestly I use Ceiling Light more than this. I like these for outdoors. They are backwards. BEcause of how rimworld works, the tile has to be on the outside of the wall itself.

Basically, put them backwards on the wall, next to the wall technically.
chanw4 11 ian. 2020 la 20:53
I think the graphic of the light is somehow displaced unlike the wall light mod which fit perfectly to the wall
Forekast 20 nov. 2019 la 9:19
I agree with the other feedback. This would be perfect for me if the light were to go directly onto the wall space, rather than in front of it. So, like how it works in the mod you based it on. Otherwise, great mod!
NECEROS  [autor] 3 nov. 2019 la 20:25
Bright wall lamps no longer require components, to make it more compatible with Fluffy's Breakdowns.
pepermunt genderbread 21 sept. 2019 la 13:25
Are you unable to use both murmur wall light and the plant growing light in this one?

I would also agree it would be nice to put something in front of it/make it in the wall
Mistletoe The Bard 12 sept. 2019 la 2:36
The reason I used this mod over others was for 1. saving space and i think the 600w cost was rather nice, compare to other mod that's using 10w lol so good job on that power cost part.
Mistletoe The Bard 12 sept. 2019 la 2:34
I have exactly same problem as @Zee. The only flaw of this mod is that it place the light in front of the wall rather than on the same block as the wall. Therefore, if you try to put anything else in front of the wall it will break the light. Murmur's wall light doesn't behave this way. Murmur's wall light will place the wall light inside the wall, which this mod doesn't do so. I am currently using both version of the wall light which is a bit stupid.... I really hope this get change otherwise I dont see any reason to use this mod. The point of having a wall lamp isn't for the look on the wall, is for saving space. I will keep this mod for my current save but if it stays the same until I open another game I don't think I will keep using it. I will just use murmur's wall light + some other sun lamp.

Okay
OotaOTT[RU] 7 sept. 2019 la 18:24
And I will not! And thumbs down did

@ZotaOTT Don't use it, then :)

cheating imbolance
Zee 16 aug. 2019 la 5:39
I haven't used the other mod. I haven't really found an issue with them except having to move them, then move them back if you need to build something. What options are you looking for?
Izzatguy 15 aug. 2019 la 21:35
If these acted exactly like Murmur's Wall Lamp {perfection} but with the grow(sun) lamp as well it'd be a perfect mod even if I wanted to go back to a more vanilla esque experience. Because even though I hate the vanilla grow lamp, the wall grow lamp options leave a bit to be desired.
Zee 12 aug. 2019 la 2:25
@Neceros I did start rotating them so that wasn't an issue for me. The issue I have is if one is on a wall and I build a bench or something, it gets taken apart since it's using the space in front of the wall. If I can get one that counts as on the wall so that doesn't happen that would be even more amazing. Either way this is my goto now. Thanks for the work!
NECEROS  [autor] 11 aug. 2019 la 19:23
@nimn, it's not you! It's the way the mod is coded. They don't technically require a wall to sit on. They sit near the wall, and you rotate it backwards so it looks like it's sitting on the wall.

I'm considering changing the behavior to act more like Wall Lights by Murmur. It would require a tiny bit more coding, but if people want it.

If I did, I would create a "ceiling" version that can just go anywhere.
Nimn 11 aug. 2019 la 17:48
I quite like this, it saves me a lot of space and certainly looks amazing, but for some reason the light doesn't seem to sit on my walls, but a bit off them. Not sure if it's the walls i use, vault walls, or the light itself. Either way, amazing work.
NECEROS  [autor] 10 aug. 2019 la 14:11
@mr.moraino Correct, but I didn't want to make my own assembly to allow that worker placer. This was a bit easier, though the downside is it technically takes up a spot underneath the light. Though you can build other stuff in that spot, it can get tricky.
Moraino 10 aug. 2019 la 1:21
This should act more like a wall lamp, meaning that it can only be placed on walls and not in the air
Possibly Synthetic 7 aug. 2019 la 9:24
This is neat! I really liked concept of the other grow light mod, but I just wasn't into the purple color after a while. Thanks!
NECEROS  [autor] 4 aug. 2019 la 23:59
Enjoy :)
pgames-food 4 aug. 2019 la 23:57
i was trying to grow plants inside a room with good soil, and can now try growing without needing to use up a tile area, just by putting it on the wall like a painting :)
pgames-food 4 aug. 2019 la 23:55
just what the doctor ordered :)
