Regional Units for Grand Campaign

With the mod being six years old I doubt you'll see this, but I'd suggest changing the Spanish troops to Hispanic. Spain as a concept wouldn't exist until a thousand years later, and as a nation until 1833. And if even possible, I'd change the troops available in at least the Gallaecia province to the Celtic tree, as by the time the Suebii arrived in 407 they found the Roman Urbes abandoned and the local population living back in the old celtic Hillforts. If they were to recruit someone in that region I'd see them more celtic than Hispano-Roman.

And if at all possible I'd give the Gaulic, Hispanic and African trees at least one cavalry unit. Their cavalry was as prized and famed as that of Dalmatia, if not more.

Ulty made a very interesting mod
Nawaf 12. jan. 2022 kl. 12:07
I think this mod conflicts with Radious. Would you kindly consider making a compatible version?

I'm sure it's quite the demand, but I definitely think your mod is a great addition to the campaign :)

@RebirtheternaL can you upload it please for us! I'm interested in the same mods as you:steamhappy:

Thanks a lot fam i appreciate it.. I did it and followed the directions and i think i got the changes put in. appreciate you.

@RebirtheternaL The only change to startpos was the introduction of Community Campaign Map with Area of Recruitment/Unit Resources. You can find the link to it in the credits, it includes a detailed description and a download link.
RebirtheternaL 7. sep. 2021 kl. 21:14
thanks for sharing your hard work. Do you remember what changes you made to the startpos? Im trying to make a "compatibility" startpos applying your changes to another mod's startpos but im struggling to find out exactly what's different and what to do. Any info or direction is much appreciated.

Fantastic mod! The unit cards really fit in the game. And I like this concept of recruiting low tier units. After all, that's what you would find on the streets of your conquered cities. If you want the elite, build barracks or so.
xxafromagicsxx 21. maj 2021 kl. 4:31
@Ulter Would you consider adding any higher tier units?
seanald 5. maj 2020 kl. 19:15
I was looking for this sort of thing!!! BUT.... I don't care about the low tier units. If only there were another mod that added some of the higher tier faction-specific ones ;)

is working ?
PaulieAndCo_ 5. jan. 2020 kl. 3:32
so it's good but the AI just seems to spam syrian axes and spearmen while not recruiting anything of their roster.
Also the hispanic swordsmen are broken as fucc.

Hi. Update pls :)))

Again thank you for responding. So I am unfamiliar with what part of the game startpos file is associated with, so I will give a list of the vanilla game I have changed with mods.

Base Income, Traits and skills, the unofficial Atilla patch, corruption percentage, AI colonizes razed spaces, all diplomacy options unlocked, more armies and governors.

Would any of these change the startpos file?

Thank you.
Ulter  [ophavsmand] 2. sep. 2019 kl. 10:09
@Sir Pen Mods that change the startpos file will not work with this one.
Ulter  [ophavsmand] 2. sep. 2019 kl. 10:07
@Lekolyde I'm pretty sure it does not, unfortunately. This mod changes the startpos file and will not be compatible with other mods which also do that.
Sir Pen 2. sep. 2019 kl. 7:51
Thank you for responding. I was merely asking because I have your mod loaded in and I can't seem to find them. So looking at some of the comment, I properly checked that I was playing the Grand Campaign, and other things so I don't have an issue in those places.

So could it be that I have another mod that is preventing this mod from functioning? So what kind of mods that I am using could be interfering with this? As you said "recruit them from the main building chain" so I am assuming that your mod changes the "City", "Town", "Village" building?

So I probably have a mod that changes the "City" building and so it is interfering with our mod, would that be correct?
Ulter  [ophavsmand] 2. sep. 2019 kl. 0:02
@Sir Pen The They are in the recruitment tab. You can recruit them from the main building chain in corresponding provinces.
Sir Pen 1. sep. 2019 kl. 8:31
So is there like a specific tab to recruit these units, or do I just go to the recruit tab and the units of the mod will be there for me to recruit?
Lekolyde ッ 23. aug. 2019 kl. 11:18
does it work with age of justinian mod???
Ulter  [ophavsmand] 4. aug. 2019 kl. 4:45
@Empmisty Thank you! Italian Cavalry had guerilla deployment by mistake, should be fixed now.

There are some units which are supposed to have it, like Spanish Swordsmen and Dalmatian Axemen. I might consider rebalancing them a bit if they are too powerful because of this.
Hoax 4. aug. 2019 kl. 3:14
Hello! This is a great mod and I loved it, gonna report a bug however : In the battle deployment stage, the units from your mod can be placed "outside" the yellow zone, which is OP as hell, if there's any way to fix it will be appreciated.
Ulter  [ophavsmand] 1. aug. 2019 kl. 6:43
@Minnesotan Droogie The mods do technically work together, but the regional units are not balanced for Radious
Emperor Cheesius Secundus 31. juli 2019 kl. 17:11
does this work with exsisting campaigns? i wanna see if i can have roman heavy in my irish army, just to really annoy the roman XD
Minnesotan Droogie 30. juli 2019 kl. 7:26
Is this compatible with Radious?
jornambre 29. juli 2019 kl. 1:08
You should ask Radious if you can use some of the units from his mod. I was waiting for something like this to come out so I can have a DEI for Attila.
Vaskonios 3 27. juli 2019 kl. 11:56
Thx to add more Italian and Spanish units, was feeling extremly awkward of having germanic mercenries basically EVERYWHERE, sometimes we wonder how lazy were the developers when the modders are 10x times better
jornambre 26. juli 2019 kl. 4:10
WOW!!! I was going to make this exact mod using Swiss Halberdier's recruitment map (that's what your're using right?). I love this mod, you have saved me a TONE of work my friend. VERY eager to see future updates.
sam.pidgeon 26. juli 2019 kl. 1:54
good luck with making the custom units i tried modding i got so confused with it all i have to mod rome 2 first before trying attila
Ulter  [ophavsmand] 26. juli 2019 kl. 0:19
@calopezv No, this is only for Grand Campaign.
Ulter  [ophavsmand] 26. juli 2019 kl. 0:19
@RebelofAppalachia Yes, I will add them to custom battles in the next update.
calopezv 25. juli 2019 kl. 19:13
does this work with aoc?
RebelofAppalachia 25. juli 2019 kl. 11:39
This is some good stuff! On a different note, could you make the custom units of levies available to the Roman factions in custom battles?
Alemanys 25. juli 2019 kl. 8:06
SPAAAAIN
Alemanys 25. juli 2019 kl. 8:06
I agree with the guy that is below me, but long live ESPAÑAAAAA
Zafonhan 25. juli 2019 kl. 3:19
I think it would be better to have Hispanian levy or Iberian levy instead Spanish levy. Spain was formed many centurys ahead.
Earl 25. juli 2019 kl. 0:26
Hey thats pretty cool!
