This is such a satisfying map to solve. So much fun working out how to use the tools available to manipulate the situation to make it all happen. Thanks so much. A really nice design in every aspect.

Oh, so I could just see the funnel from the lift? I guess I jumped on the gel under the angled panel, then bounced off the gel high on the wall to reach the funnel for nothing, then.

Yes. Even if you did that fix, it would still could be entirely possible to block the laser. Like I said before, just reposition the portal wall that leads to the lift. Judging from the in-game view of the chamber and not the in-game editor view, just "rotate" the portal wall 90-degrees clockwise. I think that should fix it.

Sorry, do you mean, you took the regular cube with you to the elevator and threw it into the laser beam? In that case I could just remove the grating in that area.

Even if you fix that, it is still possible to never need the cleansing gel. The easist solution would be to have a preplaced gel splatter but another solution could be to have the button that activates the blue gel allow access to some area near the entrance to permanently activate the funnel (funnel is deactivated at the start of the test). Be careful about accidental traps with that method.

OK, this one I know I exploited. I never needed to clean up blue gel like you did in the solution. I can just block the laser to get the lift to raise me up to the exit with the other cube. I say either rework the lift area or move the portal wall near the lift to a spot that makes it impossible to push the cube to block the laser with the excursion funnel.

I'm in love with this puzzle. It would fit right in with the rest of the wheatley maps, from the campaign.
