Well maybe not for long, based on what information i found (and more than what I shared).
Sounds like he never owned anything. Even if he did port, he's been shady for over a decade.
Even gave some trouble to "Game Maps" with the original port from the first L4D.
I'm confident we'd have Age of Chivalry's blessings to make a proper L4D2 port.
Considering the trouble Daniel gave them and lack of communication even back then.
They'd probably be very happy if someone made a safer and better port.
Thinking about contacting "Timelord Magnum Dave" about it, he's ported survival maps.

This map was created by Team Chivalry, designers of the first person online medieval Half-life 2 MOD Age of Chivalry. It was ported to L4D by serious_samurai. Age of Chivalry can be downloaded for free (assuming you own L4D or another source-based game) via Steam

So... Daniel doesn't own the rights to shit... and anyone can take it and modify it.

Update: Finally figured out the problem with the other mutations and have restored them.

It's just another attempt to further his control of server settings via vscript. Local or otherwise.

Improved the anti-cheat against gamemodes.txt file convars. Specific external addons which for instance change the move speed of Common Infected and Special Infected, allow crawling for survivors, change adrenaline stats etc. should no longer work.

bots are finally useful! thank you so much x3 it's now much more fun to play with the bots, since they will use the magnum when they run out of ammo so they can at least damage tanks and not you know, karma charge right for them <3

Updated. Due to the many noticeable griped about bots and melee weapons (at least for the intended map), I have made magnums available at the start. And bots will no longer be able to pick up melee weapons.

Uploaded and fixed. I am sorry for the late reaction. I should have done frequent checks.

It is likely that Jaiz's fix is still required to fix the actual modes as bundling the files together seems to make the script malfunction.

It turns out one of the files that were included in the vpk seemed to have broken the entire fix altogether. Will upload an update very soon!

I’ll be fixing the default weapons tomorrow for every player to have a magnum. I will also be including commands for players to get whatever map exclusive melee weapon is available.

The upload time is unknown, since comcast is infamous of doing the exact opposite of their job.

Valve has done alot. but that Helms Deep dev? he is horrible. pretty much forces that map to be played with 4 real people is just dumb.

trust me, i went on an alt account, went into -insecure mode and tried to use an aimbot to see if i could beat it. nope. i couldn't beat it at all. why? because the bots do NOT get ammo or heal when a tank is nearby, and if they have a melee weapon (that the dev forces them have on) they rush straight at a tank and get downed.

leaving you to fight like 3 Tanks alone.

Valve should completely delete film grain from the game. It increases the chance of your game crashing and lowers your fps. Experienced players will disable it since it makes it harder to see enemies, items etc.

Block players from being able to edit the "gamemodes.txt" file in the "scripts" folder since players can delete game modes and players can cheat by adding any convars they want to any game mode.

Yeah, duel pistols is a must for the bots. just had a solo run end because 2 bots with melee weapons ran out of ammo and charged at 2 tanks.... and i was on Easy as well....

well since you can pick up melee weapons inside the armory area before you start the map... maybe have all 4 players spawn with duel pistols?

only reason im saying this, is in the event someone wants to play the map solo, or even with 1 friend, the bots can at least have something else to use if they run out of primary weapon ammo, instead of blindly running at the infected and dying right? x3

The laser sight box appears at the start area by an unknown % chance. Which is even dumber.

Plugins can have ammo piles being placed anywhere as determined by the administrator/server manager.

Everyone starts with a katana, which can be interchangeable via the script. If you have any suggestion on what the starting items should be, let me know.

The armory only has medkits at the near end of the entire survival round. You can still use plugins to place said items anywheres.

it's even more dumb that he does not have a laser sight box spawn at the start of the spawn area when you are literally in a VERY wide open area. it only spawns after you are inside a close quarters area. like seriously?

also, when you fall back for the second time right? if you do not get ammo before that, the ammo pile disapears and you might as well restart unless you got ammo before going up the stairs.

the duel pistols would be perfect for bot games, as the bots are horrible with melee weapons.

and what kind of Armory doesn't have medkit spawns? it only has like.. 1 or maybe 2 pills there, and like.. erm.. i think 2 molotoves..

Bot enhancing mods are blocked and Helm's Deep Reborn does already improve the bots. Dual pistols can be used to crash servers by picking up a melee and then quickly picking up pistols to spawn a new pistol
