In your mod you'll still want to structure it as if you're placing the new portrait in /gfx, not the dlc folder. The dlc .zip file is sorta like it's own mod and you want to match the paths it's content is being placed to in order to overwrite it.

Yes. If he is part of La Resistance, try checking for his portrait in the dlc folder in your Hoi4 local files.

Interesting, I can confirm it still works too. Weird that Salazar stopped working. The guy isn't one of a dozen people in a huge civil war! Good thing too, new Franco portrait is probably the worst in the whole game.

It appears this mod is completely functional, the issues were on my end, not with the upload.

If anyone reading this happens to still be having trouble getting steam mods to run on the new launcher, try backing up and deleting your "Documents/Paradox Interactive/Hearts of Iron IV/mod" folder and see if that helps.

This mod may be broken at the moment. I've been having a lot of issues with updating for the new 1.8 launcher so I tried reverting the mod to it's 1.7.* state (which works fine, just gives you the warning icon) but even that doesn't appear to work for me. The All-in-one version mod I have still works. If all else fails I may have to re-upload this one at some point.

Yeah there should be a photo of him during the War period, but of course is a lot better like this than the vanilla.

By the way I too thought that photo was from the 60s.

In this portrait, 38 if the photo I based it on is dated accurately (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Francisco_Franco_1930.jpg) . Slightly too young for the game's time frame, but better than paradox's current depiction of him in my opinion. I have no idea how old he is in the current vanilla game portrait but I think I heard it's from the 60's.
