@pandemournium if you want something actually scary play kf1, it's far scarier than this game cause it's less polished

And the saddest part is if you look at the Q&A they did, every single reason they gave for denying things like re-adding better gore was some form of "its too hard"

KF2 used to actually be fucking scary back when early access was first released. just playing it gave me a rush of adrenaline whenever a scrake or fleshpound would spawn. i genuinely ran away and had real fear of the enemies. no other game has done that for me. KF2 used to have focus on making the zeds actually scary, now it's just some over-inflated PoS that's fueled by stupid community skins and semi-decent maps. shit went downhill ever since the zed-conomy update. hell you used to be able to blow their hands and feet off. and what happened to those "soft body organs" we were promised. honestly i'd prefer the game with 0 humor whatsoever. i liked the super serious overtone. it really felt like you were a fucking mercenary all alone in the streets of paris fighting for your life against endless hordes of zeds. hans used to actually be a fucking challenge and how he's just one big pushover of a "boss"
this game could've been so much more

I like the older sounds because they're just objectively better. Period. The new ones sound like some idiot on drugs acting like a zombie and not even trying. This new sound director fucking sucks. The new Scrake sounds are further proof of that; they're horrible and sound like some generic fantasy boss. I miss when KF2 was gritty and not just some big slapstick shooter. They balanced the grittyness and humor before, but now it's going in a bad direction.

I like the old sounds before because it was scary and it is back! Nice!

people just like the older sounds because they never heard or haven't heard in a long time because it better than what they hear right now because they been hearing the newer sounds for years
I like both the sounds is where I stand(even if you didn't ask)
Peridoxide 12 jun, 2019 @ 12:54
they should bring back the old sound director :/

at least then the sounds don't sound like they're from fucking 2001

The further the game develops, the worse the sound gets.

Great job! Thank you so much for this :)

@Partisan, as far as I know, there were actually 2 different sound directors, 1 for Early Access and the one we have now, and the one we have now's track record includes Star Wars Kinect, so..................
Partisan 8 jun, 2019 @ 1:13
Funny cause the legit are generic monster sounds, thank you for restoring the original sounds for not just the zeds but the weapons as well jesus Tripwire needs to hire a new sound designer because rather than mixing stuff hes using drag and drop/premade audio.

This sounds so much better than what we have now. The current Slasher sounds are so generic and bland. These actually stand out.
