You should probably add to the description that this modifies the AI and is NOT compatible with other chosen overhaul mods... Ive been wondering why the hell my chosen act like brainless oafs when I had this and the wrath of the chosen mod installed together!!

@TrooperCoon I've been running the mod with a few AI Chosen mods. For the most part i think they work, if not some tweaking in the ini. Files can fix that up if you know what's conflicting if anything. The only thing that usually conflicts is Chosen abilities and actions because of how they are basically told "If this isn't an option then use this" the AI has a scripted order and chance to use abilities so if you got 2 AI packs that do this. They will likely just read the one mod and ignore the other so to fix this you usually just post that ability text line into the other AI mods. At least that's what i do and it seems to work. But that's if you ever notice they aren't using some of the abilities in the mod. Although i think with this mod most of the stuff like Warlock deflecting and Assassin's harbour wave is more of a passive thing so that will usually always work unless there's another mod that tweaks that stuff.

I did like the Chosen abilities in LWOTC but I've never really been a fan of LWOTC so this mod definitely helps spice up the Chosen gameplay. However i rather keep the default classes rather then the new classes in LWOTC. It definitely works without that mod, just hope you don't get the new perk in the roster. I had the Chosen warlock have health regen and Kinetic plating (where missed shots grant shields) and his deflection gives those shields so it was definitely a hard fight.

This mod causes me to dislike meeting the chosen, especially deflect, reflect, and sentinel, but that's good actually :steamhappy: because they're a whole lot tougher in battle.

Weird problem with this mod is the chosen warlocks overwatch supposed to go off 5+ times on the same soldier, as well as be uninterruptible? if not then there may be a bug with that.

Out of curiosity, has anyone tried this mod with A Harder War: Requiem of Man from Reshi? While this mod mostly adds perks to the Chosen, I wasn't sure if the additions to Chosen's preexisting abilities would conflict with Requiem. And Alterd said they did everything could to avoid conflicts with other chosen mods (mostly AI) before this. I recall Reshi commenting on this, but wanted to see if anyone actually tested it out.

전투 중 워록 만나서 반사만 10번 넘게 보고 터지는 게 말이나됩니까? 폭발물이나 근접공격이 아니면 데미지가 1도 안 들어갑니다.

저기 모더님. 워록 도대체 반사 확률 너무 극심한거 아니에요? 아니 사격마다 줴다 반사해버리는데 근접면역/ 폭발 면역이면 도대체 공격할 수단이 없어요;

I'm guessing this mod contains AI changes to the chosen to make them actually use their new abilities.
If so, am I correct in assuming that this will conflict with other mods that changes chosen AI?

hmmm, I have been using this with WOTC perks pack without the classes have not noticed a difference though. I did have it before with classes but changed.

That was the problem I had. Apparently, adding the Bladestorm to the Assassin seems to trigger the priority occasionally late. Anyway, she uses her Katana- late or early.

In fact, I got the idea from the situation you mentioned and started to make the chosen ruler reaction mode. In conclusion, it was a simple mistake. XD

Nice! One question, though this might be a mod conflict. I had a mod that added Bladestorm to the Assassin, and when my spark went to use Strike on her, she took no damage. That is, she proc'd bladestorm for getting into melee range and missed, then spark took a swing (and she took 0 damage), and then she used Bladestorm again. Is taking no damage supposed to happen there?

[Subsequent changes]
- Deflect is removed from the Assassin and, instead, PartingSilk activates additional parry that is proportional to her level. (min 1 - max 4)
- Allows Reflect skill to Warlock. Can block your ranged attack with a (minimum) 30% ~ (maximum) 60% chance.
- Hunter's TrackingShot no longer consumes any action.

Yeah she fucked me pretty hard when I found her with 5/8 total attacks deflected over two turns. I was kinda sad.

I remembered that I included the Deflect skill to the assassin. During the test she had never used parry with Deflect skills, so I knew it was just buried by code errors.


.... I thought this was not working.
However, if that works, the Assassin can parry your ranged attack with up to 60(30 +(3x10)(each Focus)% of your chance....WTF!?

Uh, is the Assassin supposed to be able to have random parries despite not activating parting silk? That is, I found her on my turn, and she parried 3 times so I couldn't kill her, without having done anything.

Yes, that would be it. Since her blade already pierces a lot of armor, and since Arc Wave is a Psi attack, it doesn't make sense for armor to block it.

Additionally, I was playing with this and Chosen Ruler Reactions (Mild) and it makes the Assassin not want to reposition when in melee combat. This results in her making a lot of 1-damage strikes because her Arc Wave (from her melee attack, not her Harbor Wave) keeps bouncing off armor.

The Assassin's melee attack was being deflected by armor in my game, even though I set the Pierce stat to 1000. Must have something to do with the Arc Wave effect.

You should add a small bit to that so that the Arc Wave ignores armor. It is a Psi effect, after all.

Just to also point out that the Bring Em On on Chosen is only useful in retaliation missions and might not be on other missions unless you use some mods that can go up to 16 soldiers

yeah, thanks. I know the AI controls all the behavioral aspects perks included and some mods can work very well together accessing the AI, IOW, no collisions.

I tried not to modify XComAI.ini as much as possible.
Most of the changes are just the addition of passive skills that can be applied to existing soldiers, or upgrades to existing ones. My only concern is StreetSweeper. However, it was set as a selectable option when HarborWave was not available.

In other words. It will be available without worrying about collisions.

Yeah, exactly. Actually surprised the Chosen never got a Perk Pack or added Perks as an upgrade. A Perk Pack should not effect the behavior but mods often have strange conflicts.
