Actually they despawn sorta, the same way they appear in a flash and puff of smoke and sparks.

But if you attack them before the storm passes you can kill and loot them.

they die when it passes, so use things that don't drop epic loot. sandbeasts are good, lloigor...not so good

Can confirm that it does not seem to be working. I checked my mod control panel and both this one and snow storm do not appear.

My Character is on a low level under 15 and had light/medium mixed armor. Before the update it was working normal with the set dmg I put in via the Mod Panel Menu.

It uses the games default damage system to deal the damage in the same way as the default sandstorm, your attributes/char level might be giving you some damage reduction.

I will load the devkit later on today and check but it should still be working fine with the current game version.

Mhh I set the damage to 35 yet we got only like 7 dmg, is it confirmted to still work correct with the current update?

It works fine with AoC though, just disable a few of the routes and you're fine

There are options to disable specific routes in the SandstormEx options, I'm not sure which route it is that needs disabled though, that feature was actually added for AC =)

Not sure if you guys do cross mod support but I have Age of Calamitous installed and while inside the faction hall quest hub I was taking massive damage from the sandstorm and died. Ill ask about this issue on their discord page as well.

Nope, that's actually by design, if they stay permanently (they did in the first version) they have a tendency to build up and overrun the map if the player they're attached to dies in the storm.

The NPC's that spawned in the sandstorm despawned when the storm was over. Is there a way to keep that from happening?

You can only adjust the interval (how often the storm runs), but you cannot adjust the actual speed it travels like in SnowstormEx, that requires editing the sandstorm blueprint (or it did back when I wrote the mod), there are a few other options you can change though like spawning NPC's inside the storm and stuff )

There is also a vanilla (not this mod, vanilla) mechanic that forces you to not see the sandstorm if the character the player is using has not discovered the Broken Bridge.

We don't have anything to do with that. Again, vanilla mechanic.

This mod has "never" caused that bug.

That was a bug in the games sandstorm blueprint that just became more noticeable when running SandstormEx when server owners increased the frequency of the sandstorm.

Would it be possible for you to add a checkbox that enables or disables spawned creatures dying after the sandstorm? I'd like to salt the sandstorm with some gnarly creatures but I dont want players getting free resources afterwards either.

I've just tested this in SP and the AI is worked fine, did you have cloak activated in the admin menu as this will prevent the AI from attacking you

The mod just spawns the monster in, it doesn't do anything AI related. Meaning, the game controls the monster fighting, we don't.

I tried monster spawning features. Every time, I was in the sandstorm, some spawning npc was freezing, dont fight me.
