@wolfe..not true the campain is a total other story...you crash on the mars and all are death...and second you dont have a camp like the martian movie..he has a Base he hase rover and a botanikum...so this is total a other story..and his crew dont is death they fly away:D....and by the way yes i finish the story of course.

one scenario based on the martian.... is the single player campaign... have you not played it? No it's not a direct translation of the movie, but it's based on it.
