Wonder what the rest of the mission looks like since the AAA is way too intense on the airfield. Can't even get 100m off the deck before I'm getting shot down.

I did it on my 3rd try remarkably, with quicksaves... was amazing. Loved it and took the path to the East to avoid CWIS.

I played a long time ago, forgot to rate, fixed that. And I just replayed this with my experience of hundred of flight hours, much easier now :)

Thank you Fyrcat! This mission was white-knuckled fun that really tested the evasion skills! Also, thanks for all of the content you've contributed, both here and on YouTube. I learned much from your missions and tutorials! You inspired me to try my hand at mission creation, so many thanks for your time commitment!

Currenty, the "easy" way of completing the mission is a rolling take off facing south, stay low and evade AAA fire, hard turn to the right after the town into the valley and keep hugging the mountain tops until you see the coast. Then fly north at sea level up to the naval group. Using that strategy, I completed the mission a few times without any enemy fighter spawning on/near me and without encountering any threats other than the AA guns at takeoff.

Suggestion: Unless that's the only intended route for mission completion, adding some water units near the west coast/in the fjord would add some challenges for this way out.

I've started this four times so far, and been deleted by the airfield AA roughly 2 seconds after taking off each time. Am I meant to be waiting for them to be destroyed by the resistance fighters, or be flying in an unusual direction or hiding behind the hangars or something?

Thanks Clawie, I was able to consistently evade the airport guns by jinking immediately after lift off, but there may have been detection changes that affect their accuracy. I'll stagger them so one starts a bit later than the other.

As a mission tip, the western canyon tends to work well until coming upon the cruiser, I usually cheat a bit and fly around/over some hills to the right side of the canyon to avoid the cruiser.

Part 2 of feedback:

So I was fed up with the fighters, and killed them all on the airport before taking off. Was fun, but to my suprise, I was still run down by enemy fighers. So, compliment for accounting for cheaters like me :-)

I will keep on trying it, but so far this is the most difficult mission I've played.


Side note: Those Airport guns then taking off are a major pain. Somethimes they dont hit you at all, sometimes they shred you in secounds after you leave the runway. Not sure if that is like its supposed to be, but its a bit frustrating as its just pure luck if you get off the airport or not.

So first of all, thanks for another very interesting mission.

My feedback so far, after trying about 30 attempts to finish this mission. (spoiler alert, I did not manage to finish it yet)

So, obvious path to the river canyon to the west, i was able to dodge and sneak to about 50% of the way, after that there where way to many ships/sams/guns for me to dodge

next i tried the canyon south, worked fine, but got run down by enemy fighters. I seem not able to shoot down more than 3 of them, maybe I'm just way to bad at dogfighting.

Then I went with the north canyon, pretty much the same story as with the south canyon, run down by enemy fighters.

This mission is in EA... Feedback welcomed.
