All these years later and this map still amazes me. Good on you for putting this together. I do not have any expectations or requests to ask, but I'm sure there is someone with far more ability than I to use the 'Infinite Map' base and take this map to this next level, to fully represent the vastness of the Halo ring in all of its' glory. Installation 07 (prior to its destruction) was 10,000 kilometers (6,200 mi) in diameter, with a surface depth of 47 kilometers. Imagine being able to have Pelican races with your buddies down there to the surface, or putting together some kind of old-school Halo machinima using various addons and tools from the Garry's Mod workshop with an all-out war taking place between the covenant and the UNSC. I'd love to play out that fantasy in a similar fashion as I did with Halo 3 back around ~2008 with my brother.

Mainly because I've only known the source 2007 tools and their capabilities. I have created things on blender, unity, and some other programs. In my opinion, most 3D software other than AutoDesk apps fail to allude to the workspace that architects typically create on shop drawings (through isometric planes x/y, x/z/ y/z). Hammer Editor happens to be free and popularized, and while S&ndBox is gaining popularity I will eventually learn Source 2 in the meantime.

id recommend remastering this map or better yet using a different game like space engine or even space engineers. just type the game name in the store. the souse engine is too limiting when it comes to space and stuff so why not just use space sandbox games?

I might just remove them altogether. The refract sprite texture stopped working for me, so the black holes are just invisible now.

I forgot I deleted that feature a while back due to a physics calc overload. I wouldn't mind updating the map and find a way to add that back in. Along with that, I've been searching for ways to replace the atmosphere shader so that light diffuses realistically (for sunsets/sunrise effects) but no luck there :/

4096x4096 is the highest res unfortunately, but thank you. Next time I will use Space Engine's cubemap camera to photograph outer space and flood it with stars (because this one still has visible corners).

have you ever tried stacking parts of a map on top of eachother, like how the csgo battle royale mod works?

I like doing it with s cars. One of them is really fast and doesn't even need turbo and it just keeps spinning around the ring.

I did it with a Simphy's jeep with max turbo.

I have a challenge, try to drive around the whole ring with a vehicle like a ramp.
