Sadly, this mod is still broken. Cannot place sensor.

the sensor has an automation input that would disable the building if it were to receive a red signal. However, this input port overlaps the output port this building is designed to have, preventing its construction. Removing the input port should make the mod useful again.

Can't build it on vanilla game. Says automation ports cannot overlap even in unoccupied space

@SD_Adept - since a waste of power is only a matter of opinion , there is no way to actually make a sensor for that. If you are 'wasting' power by having the lights on, the sensor is the lit light, so maybe use lights in your constructions to show you what is on or off :P

I"ve been trying to track down where I am wasting power and came across this mod. It would be nice if there were a way to show wasted power as well

suggestion: How about making a stored power sensor? it would output power stored in all batteries in the circuit it is linked to in a similar way a smart battery

Updated to work with Build 399948.

As there is a power consumed sensor in the vanilla game at this point I have removed that sensor from the mod and moved the power produced sensor into the same tech tree node as that one.

Currently this one is broken

Because of a new automation update I suggest to delete the building "Power load sensor", to keep the building "Power production sensor" and to rename the mod from "Power sensors" to "Power production sensor"

thanks for the update!

Great addition to the game. However, the upper sensor limit is 20kW and the max capacity is at least 50kW (for production it can be much more). Can this be configurable or set to a much higher amount, please?

@ithaldir, I too would like it if they added resistors into the game, it would basically be like a valve but for power. It could be made with refined metal and maybe some plastic too. They could be limited to only allow 2kw max to prevent them from being too strong.

What tech makes them available?

两个新的传感器,当连接到一个电源电路时,会根据该电路产生或消耗的电源向您提供一个逻辑信号。

两个传感器都可以切换到高于或低于设定的阈值,并且不消耗任何电源。

@KingStarSearcher IV

I will have a look at it. Not sure if changing the texture is all that easy but I have seen other mods that change the colors slightly on existing textures. That could work for now.

I do have an idea for another small mod that would benefit from a new texture so I will definitely look into this.
KingStarSearcher 9. maj 2019 kl. 17:20
can you make it a diffrent texter so you i dont confusse it with another one
Lord Helios 7. maj 2019 kl. 21:36
i like this

@Ithaldir - a limiter would be nice, to not have to worry about overloading a circuit, but that would take away any sort of challenge then. Perhaps as a very high-end tech, with space material requirements...

With these Power Production sensors you can make a Fuse system, so that whenever X-watts was being used it would Open the circuit at specific locations, to prevent too much machinery using that circuit.

With that type of auto shut-off you can then put ALL equipment on one line, and each thing would just have to wait for it's turn to turn on when X-Watts is available to be used on that Line. It can be fully automated as long as you have the shutoff AFTER the censor but BEFORE the equipment to be used.

I think this will be useful but I'd kill for the ability throttle how much current can flow through a wire (in even finer increments than the transformers).

@The Tempted Man

It differs in that it monitors the Draw on a single line, not the stored energy of a battery.

This effectively makes it so that you can place safety measures on equipment that have Heavy draw on a line, to have to check if there is available current, in order to not overload a circuit.

As for power produced, I have not thought of what I would actually use that sensor for yet, but I'm sure I would come up with something eventually.... Maybe set up some sort of priority system for generators. If Gene complex A is outputting X amount, then Gene complex B can be shut down, else enable Gene complex B.
The Tempted Man 5. maj 2019 kl. 10:59
How does it differ from hooking a battery to any kind of generator and setting it to to charge when battery depletes by %?
