For those needing a lumber mill, Kid made a stand alone wind sawmill that makes lumber or firewood.
I have the sawmill and the lumber it produced was not 'recognised' and processed.- it wasn't picked up and I couldn't make Red's Rowhouses - windmill works fine producing firewood from logs though

To have a working lumber you either have to install RK editor's choice or Colonial Charter, both mods that add a thousand things I don't want in my game. DS Lumber doesn't work. This totally sucks. Did you really had to require a damn lumber to make this mod work?

how do we get the lumber to build the rowhouses? because i have firewood and logs but it wasn't using either

you need to kick them and enable those retirement apts just after. the lonely person will grab the first one available. the game doesnt make it alone.

Do people have to be homeless to move into these, or will they move from one house to another. when they age up?

Ya I figured that the multi levels wouldn't go with these. I just wanted to know if there were any conflicts with having the two active at once.

Any word from the author on a sawmill for lumber mod? If that's not happening, what mod should we use that gives you lumber without being a TC?

sorry there is no way to make that kind of mechanics. mods need to follow the rules, mods cannot invent new rules.
this is the reason you need to manage your oldies like you are managing everything else.

Hello^^Thank for this new mod, the time to load the game - and its numerous mods - grows longer and longer - but i still love to play. I should say i use this game to play architecture first and i still love it.
Speaking of new mods, may i suggest the creation of sort of "senior (old) place" using a big inn or hospital - large or high building, with a green park lane around (1/2 big oaks, little fountain and seats), opened to people single or couples - you could place it behind the city hall or a large market. It would leave the houses already built for young families. This type of building could 2/3 even 4 appartments by levels. And if it is possible, the turnover should be automatic, say when your kids are all grawn and you are 60/65 - but no younger people could use the place. (Sorry, i have some difficulties to find the words i'm not familiar with, is that correct ?). Well, i have just offered you something more to think about ^^

i have stockpile mod but it doesnt have the "covered" ones part.

Thank you for creating this mod, I don't know which I like the best your multi-housing or these rowhouses. I'm blow away with the senior housing. I just downloaded Megamod 8 and was shocked to not find your covered stockpiles, since there the only stockpiles I used. Do you have a standalone for the covered stockpiles? Thanks again.

I don't know why I never thought of "retiring" old couples like this. Thank you! Your larger village mods are my absolute favorites to play with, and the only reason I put CC first in load order is that their domestic animal resource will never spawn or be brought in trade the other way around. I still miss the easy availability of fodder in the very early game, and the wild animals that come with the version I'm using. If only I could put a bunch of bears in a pasture! If I could wrap my head around modding, I would try to make something like a rabbit hutch, providing small amounts of meat for stews, and fur for trading or tailoring. But I just wanted to say that I love your mods! Please keep them coming, and thank you.

there are plenty mods that offer lumber. RKEC has lumber, CC has lumber, many DS mods has lumber... kids mods has lumber... embx... jinxie has started too i think.... yup you need lumber :)
