Hey, I've just made my own bloodline mod, and I see that some of your bloodlines added in this no longer function properly due to game updates that have happened. Would you mind if I used your code to add muslim bloodlines to my More Historical Bloodlines mod?
Comiclove 25. aug. 2022 kl. 23:41
Still doesn't work as intended in August 2022, according to my testing. This is most likely because the mod was last updated on May 8, 2019; this precedes the release of Patch 3.2 (May 28, 2019), which adds the Iron Century (936) bookmark.

As previous comments have stated, the Fatimids are wiped out in this bookmark and replaced with other dynasties like the Aghlabids and Ikhshidids.

It should be noted that if you start a game post-936, you *can* play as the Fatimids...but the family tree looks broken to me. Make of that what you will.

Needs an update, when creating a new game with this mod enabled it will kill off the fatimid house and several of my vassals in the umayyad caliphate. Would be awesome if you could update it, thank you.

Thanks for this MOD!

@CodaMission I wondered the same thing.
CodaMission 30. maj 2020 kl. 4:06
I have always wondered why Sayyid was relegated to being a simple trait rather than the straight up bloodline it should be.
Xanadu-King 9. apr. 2020 kl. 20:28
So, the Saffarid bloodline isn't there. Is it missing?
ND4G 6. mar. 2020 kl. 4:36
Why do the Fatimids disappear in the Iron century start? They're replaced by the Aghlabids instead
Josephi Krakowski 6. nov. 2019 kl. 17:40
with the iron century start the Fatimids entire dynasty is dead

I checked if it was another mod by deselecting all others but they still didn't exist

im not good with modding so i dont know how to fix it any help?
Benseth 18. aug. 2019 kl. 14:08
Would it be possible to add a negative modifier -10 or -20 relations between Umayyads and Abbasids?
Salicy 31. juli 2019 kl. 19:12
thats awesome! maybe Its not save file compatibility?
napoli 29. juli 2019 kl. 12:06
Great thx
Star¤Dagger 23. juli 2019 kl. 3:05
@zlatky, if you read page one of the comments, he says that it is not, but you can molest the files to make them compatible, if you are comfortable with taking liberties with your virgin files.
zlatky 21. juli 2019 kl. 10:22
Hello, m8! Is this 1) HIP-compatible, and 2) updated for the last CK2-patch?
water 13. juni 2019 kl. 1:28
I know they just sorta added some of these, but would you mind updating for 3.2?
Anierin Llyfael 13. maj 2019 kl. 22:52
How about a blood line for Zengi
wahoo 6. maj 2019 kl. 23:18
this is great
Miath 6. maj 2019 kl. 15:03
tbh this should've been a thing with the expansion pack. Thanks.
Iridius 6. maj 2019 kl. 11:37
>Muslim bloodline
>everyone is closely related
lmao
W 6. maj 2019 kl. 2:40
@Laus369
yup its already in this mod, it got divided into 2 bloodlines: Blood of Hussayn & Blood of Hasan
Saint_Laus_369 5. maj 2019 kl. 22:49
Blood of Muhhamadd would be better choice instead of having that Hasafid trait
W 5. maj 2019 kl. 18:05
@Kuro
@Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Ausf
well, the historical source for that matter is still debatable tho
most of the thing that we know from them are based from their saga in which was well......, suffice to say that the historical accuracy for that thing is questionable, just like post-han dynasty (3 kingdoms era)china history and their romance of 3 kingdoms in which 70% fact and 30% fiction
Kuro 5. maj 2019 kl. 12:07
And his sons made the great heathen army; taking almost all of england
2Pac Alive in Serbia 5. maj 2019 kl. 11:05
Ragnarr Lođbrok was a Viking, he was king of Denmark and Sweden and raided England and Francia (he even raided Paris up the Seine)
He's like, the most famous Viking in history so I'd say he's pretty historical and relevant.
Abrika 5. maj 2019 kl. 2:18
Very awesome :steamhappy::steamhappy:
megami-hime  [ophavsmand] 5. maj 2019 kl. 0:50
@Wolf
@couerdelion
Thanks, I've divided Fatimah's bloodline to her sons.

I also personally don't find my bloodlines all that OP, as there are just many historical and forged bloodlines in Vanilla that are as strong if not stronger. Have you /seen/ Ragnar Loddbrok's bloodline? And he's an irrelevant ahistorical character as far as I'm concerned.
W 4. maj 2019 kl. 13:46
also well, the fatimid blood with 'all inheritance' will absolute end up appear everywhere lol, so changing the bloodline founder to her son Hussayn and turning it to the usual patrinial bloodline seems like a good thing imo, for mechanic and historical reason...

(considering only the descedants of Hussayn turn out to become the fatimid dynasty and be revered by shia as their future imams
hasan's descedant shouldnt get the shia opinion bonus since shia believe the great imam of the end of times would be born as the descedant of hussayn, not hasan, hence why all their great imams came from hussayn's desc)
W 4. maj 2019 kl. 13:32
and whether OP or not, well its basically similar to the christian or pagan ones, some bloodlines are better than the others and the change in this mod is actually pretty good & fitting for their respective great dynasty (abbasid was basically karling of the arabs world now + that build time modifier in which portray all their reformation of muslim world irl)
and limiting availability of a bloodline based on religion bonuses doesnt really make a sound argument, but i do agree on overhaul mod like HIP the bonus seems kinda too big considering the nerf that HIP made to the rest of bloodlines, so i just personally nerf these as well on my game lol
W 4. maj 2019 kl. 13:20
sayyid was too underpower and lack of flavor compare to real bloodline of both the christian and pagan ones, hence the purpose of this mod
japms 4. maj 2019 kl. 11:03
@Xanadu-King they devs didn't make a bloodline for them bc they already had the sayyd trait
Scarelya 4. maj 2019 kl. 10:29
And also the heretic tax on all non-muslims
Scarelya 4. maj 2019 kl. 10:28
Yes but muslim rulers already has so many bonuses. More wives, able to hold churches etc.
forerunner398 4. maj 2019 kl. 9:35
These are not OP. Many of them are Muslim flavored versions of base game Christian ruler bloodlines.
Rokuro 4. maj 2019 kl. 8:36
Those bloodlines are overpowered. Need nerfing.
coeurdelion 3. maj 2019 kl. 14:14
To prevent Fatimid blood from eventually showing up everywhere through marriage (which I think kind of cheapens it) maybe you could begin the bloodline with her son Hussayn rather than she herself? There's a precedent for that kind of thing, since Paradox uses Khan Kubrat as the starting point for his ancestor Attila's bloodline. And that way you could keep it patrinlineal.
W 2. maj 2019 kl. 23:56
hmm ok, so i just use bedouin_arabic from HIP version then i added your extra bloodline code and files to make it compatible i suppose ( not really sure, never try to mod this game before lol), and btw, thanks for the mod :)
megami-hime  [ophavsmand] 2. maj 2019 kl. 23:13
@Wolf Probably not. HIP changes the characters files, and so does this mod.
W 2. maj 2019 kl. 23:09
does this mod compatible with HIP?
breyer 2. maj 2019 kl. 17:49
This is amazing work. I always hated the idea that Paradox just kicked out all of the other notable figures during the middle ages and lower. You think you'd be able to make some more notable bloodlines for non-islamic characters, as well?
Clown 2. maj 2019 kl. 17:32
Very nice. BBHN
Xanadu-King 2. maj 2019 kl. 16:36
Thank you, I always found it strange how the three most important Muslim Families, the Umayyads, Abbasids, and the Fatimids, while all being descendants of the Prophet, never had any blood lines to represent their ancestry.
Leman 1. maj 2019 kl. 22:03
i love little mods like this that add a little bit more flavor!
