we could terraform it, but then there wouldn't be any light! WHich is worse? However, with some work... hm, if we can get Cold Fusion, we could get the light... but that wouldn't work.

well, the other problem is, stars are a carful balence between fusion and gravity. Stop fusion, and a star collapses, then explodes. So, to prevent that, we could try to support the star. Stoping fusion would convert, at least some, of the plasma to a gas, which we could use to move both, and prevent a collapse...

or, we could build platforms, and stop the sun from emmiting light in small areas, or, use a dyson swarm...

Fusion requires super high temperatures, and low-temperature stars don't emit light.

We could terraform the sun, it would just kill us all. Since there would be no sunlight for plants. What we need is a system to decrease the tempature of the sun. Cold fusion might work. Then, we get terraforming!

@Sierpovnik: Done. I terraformed UY Scuti. I had to lower both its mass and its radius so much in order to be able to make it a rocky planet.

Try terraform Canis Majoris or UY Scuti

@Embeded: No, and I tried to replicate it with another star but stuff broke. (It had positive infinity CO2 and if I gave it a magnetosphere, it became a pulsar planet.)
