I'm wondering if there's a number of ways to solve this puzzle. Anyway, contrary to my expectation, I did not overthink it but I did get a little confused by the antlines.

Can get trapped :/. At the very beginning slightly funnel the cube so that it's off the button but still on that platform and you will get trapped

Great puzzle which took me long than it should have done to see. Found the easter egg after looking at your hint - most of the faces I know, but a few I do not.

inside the funnel shaft are 2 "damaged" wall panels that can be removed to reveal the entrance to the easter egg

Nice easter egg. I suspected it would be located near the funnel source but I needed to noclip to see that you could pull out a wall tile.

Yeah, the second part of your description has been making my brain itch since you published. :)
I don't think you intended for many people to find that, did you. :p Doing so was much harder
