Really fun chamber! Can tell you put lots of effort into it, and it shows! Keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to your next chamber! :D

Aye, working on a new one right now. Thanks for the tip! :) And yeah it took me quite a while to finish this map to make it almost perfect! :)

I gave it a thumbs up for the amount of time and thought you must have put into it though it was difficult to see what all the switches and cubes were actually doing. I prefer to see the exit clearly too, so I know what my objective is. Maybe the next one Aye.

lol tks, I'll work on that "solving" part on my next chamber! :) Thanks guys!

Yeah, you delivered really fun moments. Although a lot more of "performing" and almost none of "solving". When I saw all that height I thought "Please, tell me I'mma using momentum here", and I loved the cubes, balls droping and jumping, felt like a kid trying to catch candy falling from a piñata.

great design, although way too many balls

I feel this is a solid map, great job with your first chamber. :)

Try my chambers? ^^

Did you mean the cube button that disables the laser to activate the sphere button? I put it there so that you can see the the laser gets disabled. And this is my first test, I'm still editing it, thanks for the tip on the rail though.
wildgoosespeeder 28 Aug, 2013 @ 1:30pm
This map feels like elements in it are wasted. Just a walk-a-thon. Did you know you can disable rail oscilation? Just make the connected pedestal button timed and then if I make a mistake, I don't have to wait for the elevator to complete its long and tedious journey just to perform one fling.

Places where you don't use any sort of visual connection, like the cube button near the sphere button, I have no idea what those do.

Play my test?

Nice simple map, good job for your first map. One thing I'd suggest is to make the button turn off the funnel rather than reverse it to save time. Also as nicklonium said, the four cubes are currently useless.

Edit the chamber within portal 2 as you would normally, make whatever changes you would like then click publish in the same way as if you were publishing it for the first time. It should upload an updated version of the chamber to Steam automatically replacing this one while retaining all the stats and comments for it. You can see if it's worked (there's no reason it shouldn't) in the change notes section on the right under the file size and the date posted.
CookieRadiator  [author] 24 Aug, 2013 @ 3:50am
Oh ok thanks! Can you teach me how to edit it? I mean must I delete this and re-publish or what? O.o
nicklonium 24 Aug, 2013 @ 3:49am
At the moment, four of the cubes in the area where six cubes are repeatedly dropped, launched by faith plates and fizzled are unnecessary, they don't serve a purpose in the chamber. If you changed four of them to spheres, the player would have to be a bit more selective about which items they pick to place on the two cube buttons rather than just grabbing whichever cubes are nearest. It's only a minor improvement but it might make the chamber a little smoother.
CookieRadiator  [author] 24 Aug, 2013 @ 3:47am
This is my first map so tks for the feedback! I would definitely check out your collection Elemntary! :) And another tks for the "change the cubes to spheres" next time put spoilers! XD
nicklonium 24 Aug, 2013 @ 3:38am
That was quite fun for a first test chamber, everything is clearly labelled, logical and fairly satisfying to solve thanks to it's length and variety of mechanics. The repeatedly launching/fizzling cubes aren't really necessary but I can see what you're going for. I would think about changing four of the cubes to spheres so that the player has to pick the cubes specifically for the buttons.

I've got a little collection of chambers going and I'm always interested in feedback on each chamber or the collection as a whole. I'd be grateful if you'd have a look:
