@gank - Maybe it's something to be fixed with control key rebinds (I show some in image above). Assuming you've loaded the tech direct from this workshop item?

It stopped after I saved & quit so I have no idea. It’s been working fine ever since. I’m guessing it’s just the nature of it being a bug makes it finicky.

@Ninjaslicer - have you attached a stabilising computer to it? That was already a known issue with vertically aligned hover-bug pads.

If not, something's change in the game code. Let me know and I might look into into reporting it to the devs.

There seems to be a bit of a problem. the bike is now flying upwards unless you're driving on the ground, this is the same with the other one you showed in the video, the nippy one.

@Marsh Man - just enable (and edit) whichever control schemes you like then snapshot the tech to use locally. It'll reload with whichever schemes it had when you saved it. :sfsmile:

Its weird... the controls in my options are different then the actual default hover controls in the schemes. Never used Page up / Down for hovering but its there lol

Not the car no, it wouldn't work properly.

It would just be nice to have the default hovercraft scheme in cycle. (So you can switch to it with C. Each time I spawn it in, I have to open the controls menu, switch it on, exit out, and toggle to it.)

I like going Up and Down with the Up and Down arrow keys, and tilting with the Left and Right, its what I'm used to...

Everyone seems to put a custom control scheme on the vehicles they make, which is fine, I just wish they would include the option to switch to a default one which uses my keybinds, so I don't have to use Page Up to increase the Tech Height or memorize a bunch of other buttons I'm not familiar with. Why redo the binds everytime I spawn a vehicle.

I think when you capture a tech, it spawns in with the control scheme you had selected, but then you can cycle through all the ones enabled. Which in this case, is only the custom one. idk. Makes it feel more accessible.

@Marsh Man - I'm not sure why you'd want e.g. "car" enable on this bike....? Do you just not want to rebind [Shift] and [Control] in your main options? So lift on my custom scheme will be [PgUp] & [PgDown] instead (fine if you're OK with two hands on the keyboard).

Works great, wish you would leave the default control schemes enabled in your creations... always have to go in and enable them to switch between the custom and default

@XemnastheLynx - Well, they call it "hover-bug" too. But yeah, for now it's as much a feature as 'hoiks' in Terraria.:sfsmile:

@lauracoens - Which bike do you mean? (Of course, for this one you just have to click "Subscribe", above then then load it from the "Steam" tab, in game.)

@Complete Casual - Actually, that's a really good tip!:bigups: I thought that would hugely throw off the balance of the tech and cause it to backflip all the time, but it's actually only a modest effect, still totally useable (and a lot more deadly). Nice! :sfsmile:

For anyone who really likes this design but wants to add a weapon, a very simple trick is to rotate the engine once, so the attach point is facing up, then attaching an avalanche missile onto this, with it being so fast, 1 missile is enough to wear down other techs, and yes ZG, I will be commenting :)

Oh, and @Rooster, thanks again for the feedback on my early draft of episode 8. I did tweak the equalizer a little more on the voice-over audio. I wonder if the tweaks and speaking practice show in the episode with this bike?

Very good "artistic" choices on this one Zero. It's surprisingly hard to get Venture/BF parts look right together, but this one nails it. That, and it really has the style of the light cycle from all angles. Nice.:steamhappy:
