slapworthjr, by all means, Cousteau did contract it out for use by certain US Government Agencies, so it wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibilities that your Support Vessel would have it aboard. Can't wait to see your ship!

UPDATE 20 APR 2022:
- Complete rebuild of all systems
-Now includes seating for two
- Interior rebuilt to look more akin to the real submersible

UPDATE 05 OCT 2021:
- Changed the Ballast System to now work at any depth, no need to use the Emergency Ballast Weight for regular operations anymore.

i have been building the Belefonte from the Life Aquatic which is a spoof / homage of Jack's films.

I couldn't believe it when I found this amazing work!

YoJo715, I haven't had the issues with it you seem to. So I haven't fixed anything. Be sure there is absolutely no water in the crew compartment as this will affect buoyancy considerably. You can verify there isn't any water in the compartment when the bilge pump stops ejecting water from its fluid port. Hope that helps ENJOY!

I think it's broken
Tried it out and even with no flooding it went straight to the bottom realy fast

If you look at the pictures (last one) there is a one that shows a slightly discolored area near the hatch, that is the hatch button/key. Hope that helps! Good luck and enjoy!
