We all make misconceptions. You were looking at the literal word and meaning of "Emperor" and there's nothing really wrong with that. +1 for actually specifying and adjusting your claim instead of keeping up an argument for arguments sake.

Okay, first, Russia was an Empire, i might have had some serious stroke in my brain to ignore that.

Second, what i meant by 'Spain was never an Empire' was that, Spain did not had Emperors (except Holy Roman Ones). And since i'm an Asian, my definition of an Empire was 'A state with an ruler assuming title of Emperor', not the Western definition 'A multi-ethnic or multinational state with political and/or military dominion of populations who are culturally and ethnically distinct from the imperial (ruling) ethnic group and its culture.' In short, yep i got confused by what you said.

I apologize to everyone who got offended by my serious crap. And also to the modder, i'm sorry for ruining your comment section.

I don't know what history book this Kreg guy read, but Russia was the third largest empire in history, followed by Spain as the 4th, yet he doesn't acknowledge either as an empire.

Just a thought: empire tier countries should have an opinion malus, just for being a "rival empire".

Erm, Spain was never an Empire. But it was ruled by some Holy Roman Emperors, so i think you are mistaken. And actually everybody loved Austrian archduke proclaiming Emperor, especially since he WAS an Emperor. Russia? Pff, like anybody actually acknowledged them as Empire...

And there's no such thing called 'Revolutionary Empire' in real life. Yes, Napoleon's empire had some revolutionary aspects, but it was a complete autocracy which one Emperor ruled all. (Plus the Law)

Can you add dynamic historical friends and rivals?

@Kreg everyone got mad at napoleon for proclaiming a REVOLUTIONARY empire, not a regular one. no one cared about the Austrian, Spanish and Russian empires being proclaimed

'Joined Holy Roman Empire Recently' (Eyy, new mate!)
'Colonial Border Friction' (7 years war, French-Indian war..)
'Proclaimed Empire in Europe' (Remember how everyone reacted to Napoleon's 'Empire'?)

Needs corresponding negative opinion modifiers to be balanced, but I like the idea.
