There's no "connection" system at all, your just supposed to freeze the rooms in place with the physgun. And I didn't include any other modules. Sorry to disappoint :<

i tried it manually but he doesnt shows that hes connected

Currently, the only way to do so is to grab rooms from the ship construction area with the physgun, and place them manually. I didn't think it through past that. I imagine some other precision addons might help in lining the rooms up properly, but I haven't tried any yet.

Something I hate about maps is that some of them aren't professionally made, maps like this one don't have curves or at least no attempts, they're just made of boxes

It should be in the sandbox tab. Try restarting the game if it doesn't seem to be there just yet. It has a thumbnail, so it shouldn't be hard to find. If that doesn't work, try typing "map gm_spacestation_breakable" in the console.

wot? You got the gbombs unweld & unfreeze on? They don't do anything to it when I use them...

Gbombs probably just destroys wooden objects, I haven't seen it even break certain destructible things from addons, only flinging them so far they break. Turning off the unconstrain & unfreeze option makes it not destroy them entirely.

Idk what the problem is that you're having.

I have destroyed the entire station at least five hundred times...try using Nuke Pack 4 and pressing E on the console inside the engineering room. Then flying away and listening to the nuclear blasts. Then, after they stop, see if everything is destroyed (which they always are for me).

Note for anyone downloading this: Not actually destructible, even Gbombs (nuclear weapons) don't leave a goddamn dent.

I guess both maps were inheriting it from a third source... My gmod has way too many addons as is, tracking down the true source is not something I can reasonably do. I'm just glad it works.

Seems a little different from the thumbnail. Wasn't expecting two suns (a yellow one and a white one) and two moons (a small one that looks kinda like a huge asteroid and a large one).

I just noticed something with the PES...
I'm not taking damage when I have the PES on at the bottom of the map. I think it needs to have another type of damage so that PES users die too.

I thought of another three ideas:
First, vFires could get extinguished in space.
Second, things which reach the bottom of the map are removed.
Third, props automatically could lose their gravity effects when outside the station, resulting in a nice, spacey touch.

Okay.

I'd imagine that you would do that same detection thing you did with nuke pack 4 and all them and probably a button in the bridge to toggle it. Maybe some other buttons to toggle special addon effects, like a reactor activation toggle button in the reactor room.

Oh, and one of the doors in the control room isn't connected properly. I'm not exactly sure how to show you it, it's just when you unfreeze control room, the room falls a limited distance and two parts of the door keeps it from falling further, even when you remove the elevator & ships.

Of course, it's fine if you don't do any of this. A suggestion never needs to be added.

I'd probably be able to set that up, but it'd probably make it rather difficult to play the map just when goofing around. I'm also not sure how the space ships will react... Thanks for sharing the addon though, I'll definitely keep it in mind if I make another map.

I just had an idea for PEV compatibility (this addon https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1166629875&searchtext=pressure is the one):

Give players Drown damage when they have direct LOS with any side of the map, but a force field stops the LOS even when it shouldn't. Remember to actually use drown damage, or it won't work.

Anyways, I hope you make the hangar thing happen or something like that.

Yeah, the hanger is true ground, and the only non destructrible section. As for the skybox, if you can find me a half decent space skybox, I'll just update this map and fix it.

That's actually what I was talking about for that addon.

I mean, the big hangar is essentially invincible if not invincible, so it might as well be ground that doesn't work with it.

Whatever, I think even without the skybox the map is nice. But, could you maybe make a second map with a different skybox?

Thing is, I'm not even sure what game that skybox is from... Honestly, I'm not even sure how I figured out it exists, this map was sitting amongst my files for ages before I finished it.

And I don't think I can support that addon, even if I wanted too; the entire point of this map is that technically, none of it is "ground", which seems to be very important to that addon. Lots of entities treat the breakable floors and walls oddly. It's the trade off made when a map is built to be destructible like this.

Also, I have played multiple maps with CS:S textures back when I didn't have CS:S...but the textures were built in!

I'd like you to build in the skybox like they did the CS:S textures.

also i have a bug if i spawn any type of melee npc they will start attacking the space station for no reason if i get close to them

You have to manually line up the modules and freeze them with the physics gun; there's no way to "lock them in" at the moment. Not sure how I'd make that work, sadly....

Yes! There are console commands that enable zero gravity. Adding vaccuum damage is technically possible, but would be obnoxious from a map making perspective, so it was never added.

Maybe its a cubemap problem? Not sure why that would be, they work fine for me.Not sure how to fix that on your end...
